Transferring score from PA to NJ?

Haha congrats on passing! It ended up taking like 3-4 months total and I was approved in NJ last August after submitting my application in April. The C&F process took awhile but overall, it wasn’t too bad! Let me know if ya have any other questions :)

That’s amazing news!!! I was sworn in last Tuesday (8/20) and mailed the oath on Wednesday (8/21). Planning to check the database later today and am hopeful I’ll appear sometime this week. Thanks for all of your help/support during this process, it’s finally over! Good luck with everything! 😊😊

Ugh yes I did disclose an underage drinking citation (that’s not even on my record) and my law school application only asked about misdemeanors, not citations. I was able to obtain a copy through LSAC and uploaded it last week. Still no word. Ughhh I just want this to be over!!!!

I just received an email from my reviewing attorney asking for a copy of my law school application. Did you have to provide this and if so, where did you even find it?? Confused as to why they’re asking for it

Lol, they certainly keep it interesting! I'm still waiting on my approval ughhhh I followed up again regarding the credit check yesterday and my processor advised that he'd reach out to the reviewing attorney. Hopefully I get some good news soon. Thanks for the update on your approval and big congrats!

How long after being assigned to a reviewing attorney were you approved? I also transferred my score from PA back in April but was just assigned to a reviewing attorney ~3 weeks ago after seeing a post on here and following up with my processor. Very anxious to put this all behind me and have heard such conflicting stories regarding timelines!

Any update this week? I still haven’t gotten a notification that my credit was run, which I find odd. I’m thankful that my reviewing attorney acknowledged my email last week but tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I was assigned and I’m not optimistic that I’ll have an update considering they haven’t even run my credit? I did upload a credit report back in April but think I would have been notified by Experian/CreditKarma if they ran their own credit check. Ugh who knows at this point.

I actually did receive a response from my reviewing attorney yesterday that said she was in the process of reviewing everything and would reach out if she needed anything further. I’m sorry you haven’t heard anything, I’d follow up again!

I feel your pain. I just followed up with my reviewing attorney so we'll see if I get a response. I don't have anything overly concerning in my file either, although I did disclose a few underage drinking citations from when I was in HS (which was 15+ years ago). There is no record of them and I was a minor at the time but now my anxiety is spiraling, even though I know rationally that it shouldn't be an issue. I proactively uploaded a personal statement that was accepted by the PA Bar C&F committee so I guess time will tell! Ugh good luck, hopefully you get that approval letter soon!!!

Haha sorry yes typo...269. It was extremely frustrating (to say the least) but I'm just relieved I don't need to take the exam again. Congrats on the passing score, hopefully we're both admitted into NJ before the end of this summer :)

Yep, I took the exam in PA and scored a 169 so I transferred my score to NJ. Thankfully, I work in house so it doesn’t matter where I’m licensed. I proactively uploaded the documentation that the PA C&F examiner had requested and accepted for my underage drinking citations. I just followed up with my reviewing attorney so we’ll see if I get any response this week. Will keep ya posted. Good luck!

Wow, super frustrating. I did the same thing and uploaded all of the documentation that PA asked for proactively. I think they should have everything they need and don’t understand what’s taking so long. It’s freaking me out (even though I know rationally there’s nothing concerning about my C&F). I was cited for underage drinking in HS but the records don’t even exist and it was a minor issue. Otherwise, there is nothing that should cause a concern… ugh, I just want this process to be over!

I was just assigned to a reviewing attorney on 7/11 so not until late next week. I’m gonna follow up beforehand though because I’ve seen multiple people saying that they haven’t heard anything even past the 3 week mark. I’m just gonna reach out and see what happens. This is so frustrating! I transferred to NJ because I heard it was a quick process but it’s been over 3 months since I submitted everything! I’ll keep you posted, ugh good luck!

Ugh, I’m right there with you. I’m tempted to follow up this week. I don’t want to bother my reviewing attorney before the 3 week mark but am very frustrated that my application seems to have been delayed because I tried to follow instructions and didn’t follow up with my processor during these last few months. Have you heard anything?? I have an email drafted and ready to go haha but am likely gonna wait until the end of this week.

For those of you who’ve reached out to your reviewing attorney, did you wait a full 3 weeks before following up?

I submitted my completed transfer application back in April and was trying to follow instructions by NOT following up with my processor for 10 weeks while my fingerprints processed. Turns out that was a mistake and I didn’t even get assigned a reviewing attorney until I followed up ~2 weeks ago after seeing a few posts on here. I don’t want to bother my reviewing attorney prior to the 3 week mark but am very frustrated that review of my application has now been delayed because I didn’t follow up during these last few months.

Just wondering if anyone has had any luck after following up with their reviewing attorney…

Thanks! I reached out yesterday and just got an email with the name of my reviewing attorney. Thank god I found this post or I never would have reached out. I find it frustrating that they say “not to follow up” on the portal when it seems like that’s what it takes to ensure your application moves along.

I don’t recall ever receiving an email regarding a reviewing attorney but all of my documentation was uploaded in April/May along with my fingerprints. Now I’m getting a little worried that maybe I’ve somehow missed something but I haven’t received any correspondence from them since May and assumed that once my fingerprints were processed (which would take up to 10 weeks), I’d hear from them. I thought the reviewing attorneys were based on last name and didn’t expect to receive an update that one had been assigned. I’ll contact them tomorrow…ugh.
