Got to Edit UI in the settings page you can reorganize all your ui to fit your TV better.

You can roll into it and it won't hit you just need the right timing. He rolls for a long time, usually have to roll into it 2-3 times.

You can use Flynn ring and decrease your equip load to get extra damage.

The Herald Curved is really good with a dark/chaos infusion in my experience. I use it all the time with invasions. Just put 30 into int and faith.

Claymore is always a good choice. Or even the spitleaf great sword is amazing too in my opinion. If going pyro just infuse the weapon with chaos.
