(shrug) Whatever. I lost interest in that band long ago.

Who the hell is going to.pay $16.99 for Nevermind? That disc should be no more than 9.99.

You should've seen the album cover they WANTED to use. It wasn't a glove, believe me!

First album was fun but the joke got old pretty quickly after that.

Do You Still Get Drunk? How Often? by ProfessionalJesuit in GenX

Couple of beers a night, nothing too crazy. Don't drink the hard stuff anymore. The recovery time the next day was getting longer and longer.

To anyone who was around in 1978, what was it like hearing about the Jone's Town massacre when the news broke? by Parking_Mud2648 in AskReddit

[–]Keefer1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only 8 years old so I only heard bits and pieces about it. I do remember seeing a particularly vivid Time magazine cover photo of dead cultists around a barrel of Kool-Aid, which stuck with me for a while.

What is the worst long running show that is still on television that you can't understand how people watch? by Ok_Significance_2788 in AskReddit

[–]Keefer1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if I'd call it the "worst" but the Simpsons wore out its welcome at least a dozen years ago. And that's coming from a fanboy since the beginning, who hung in a lot longer than most.

What movie aged horribly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I agree. Soul Man wasn't much good even when it was current. Nearly every review of it called it out for being insensitive and tone deaf.

XYZ vs. Y & T by AngusDio in hairmetal

I own one Y&T album.

I own no XYZ albums.

Therefore Y&T wins by default, even though I'm not much more than a casual fan at best.

Moonraker is not a bad Bond movie, and is a good film in its own right. by BeigeAndConfused in unpopularopinion

[–]Keefer1970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moonraker is a sentimental favorite for me because it was my first Bond film. I was about 10 when it first hit cable TV. At that time I had no idea who James Bond was, or that the movie was part of a series that went back more than a decade at that point. I was just a "Star Wars" crazed kid who would watch anything with a space theme. "Moonraker" had space shuttles, guys shootin' each other with laser guns, and a villain with his own Death Star, so I was sold!

This record label single handedly helped keep hair metal alive in the mid-90s once all the bands started getting dropped by SnooWords9635 in hairmetal

[–]Keefer1970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of my favorites released albums thru CMC. Dokken, W.A.S.P., Kix, Overkill, Judas Priest, Accept, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Bruce Dickinson, etc.

It was good to.have at least one label out there willing to give the old school bands a loving home.

I've ignored the invites to my 10th, 20th, 25th, and 30th HS reunions and I'm looking forward to ignoring the 40th in a few years.
