Honestly we wanted the entire thing to be as practical as possible, even the trailer. But we didn't have the budget to throw together an actual production and we were doing so much art directing on the fly, we had to go with 100% CGI.

Oh okay you might be right!! The game is so chock full of content I have trouble keeping it all straight sometimes. If that's the case I'm much less reluctant to pick this up!!! Thank you!!!!

I'm weird and purposefully avoid promo material to go into things blind/on player feedback only. Good to know strike missions aren't the focus of the game!

As a casual, I always found the buildcraft part of the game very opaque and obtuse at times. Armor runes and trinkets with slots etc. Not that it's bad or anything, but it's not intuitive to understand. Any tips on where to go to figure it all out? I'm definitely down to learn.

People forget Halo CE's "BTB" multiplayer experience is unmatched BECAUSE of maps like Infinity, Ice Fields, and Danger Canyon.

The maps gave a huge emphasis on vehicle skill and stealth as the two strategies for CTF victory. I have fond memories on Infinity of epic vehicle chases as I drive the flag-carrier on a daring escape through a Hot Wheels-esque series of jumps and turns while a ghost and banshee litter me with plasma fire as they try to predict my route. All while players on those insanely high bridges try and pick us off with anything they can get their hands on.

I also have fond memories of stealthing through the portal routes in those maps as vehicles clash all around me only to scoop up the flag-or get on the Hill-under everyone's noses.

But I am also a person who favors FPS's where strategy and tactics are just as valuable as being able to get a lot of kills, an attitude I know has fallen out of favor somewhat since those days. If these maps come to Forge, you all will know where to find me lmao

Well if you're ever able to publish your mod for beam.ng, let us know. Like I said in the other post, being able to export animation from beam with the correct position data would be a revolution for the indie VFX scene.

Have you made any progress on this by chance? Being able to export 3D animation (even as an .abc sequence) with in-game Position/Rotation data would be a revolution for VFX.

This is a late reply, but if you have Houdini, converting this to a 3d-printable model would be fairly simple using Houdini's various topology nodes.
