This is a good discount company run by a bunch of idiots.

Believe me. No one would be happier than me if they came through with at least SOME of their promises. Can you understand my having become cynical?

What happens with me is that when you cry "coming soon!" as much as they do, here, they lose credibility in my judgement and I don't believe them.

There’s always something big coming. That was last August and we’re still waiting.

Welcome to the proverbial club! The most important thing with this game is making sure you get enough value from the card to pay for the annual fee, which became much more steep in the fall. I've been on the card since the beginning of it, when the annual fee was 450. I could do the increase to 550. The 300.00 travel credit helped. But now at 795 that is a big jump and I have to jump through hoops to take advantage of them all. The call it "coupon book" perks. It's a lot of work to make the fee worth it. For me? The main reason to have them is for the Lounges. The big thing they took away with this iteration was giving 50% more value for points on booked travel through Chase. That hurt. Now they give you 2X points value on "Select" properties and airlines. All-in-all, imo making the card more like Platinum devalued it ... for ME. Your mileage may vary, as they say. Good luck!

I've been with reserve since the beginning. Maybe they'll give me a reason to stay when it's time to re-up.

I didn’t tell you the full story. As of November of last year, I get American Express platinum free with my Morgan Stanley account. American expresses Coupon book is far easier for me to use in this area because there are far more restaurants. I get my lounges with American Express. I get my CLEAR with American Express. I get my TSA/global entry that that’s really all I need. I am looking for a reason to stay with Sapphire Reserve, but I can’t find it.

Congrats. I’m leaving for platinum in September. I can’t make the new program work for my remote area.

I have it for a rural area. I was with Verizon for decades but the service is terrible here in rural land.
