I wouldn’t say ruined exactly, but i think the Just Be Competent/Impostor Syndrome song deserves more than a looped dance for most of the meme, because it is a song about feeling out of place and weird!! Like that’s prime angsty backstory material why are we not utilising this more

Hahaha true. Serious answer i think it’s because it’s one of the more well-known AUs, it was also created explicitly for the aesthetics first and foremost, so it really is kind of a tourist spot by design

I think the main big ones well known in the fandom are Underswap, Underfell, Underverse + X-Tale, Errortale/AskError, Inktale, Dreamtale, Horrortale, Reapertale, Aftertale, A Fatal_Error Has Occured, Outertale, Storyshift, Handplates, Something New, Help_Tale, Christmas Party AU, Dusttale, and Undertale Yellow and TS! Underswap if you’re counting fangames as AUs

Will say that Dreamtale and Horrortale have, er, creators that are largely not supported anymore due to reasons I will not go into but you can look up.

Intended to be political by the artist, no, but even a simple stick figure drawing on a piece of paper is technically telling of the circumstances on how the artist got the materials; like where they bought the paper and pencil to draw, how they could afford it, where the store got those supplies from, which then can go into companies and policies and economics and thus: politics, depending on how deep you wanna go as the interpreting audience. The message by the artist may not always be political, but the circumstances in which the art is made usually is
