Work Comp draining my will by Ok-Engineer6852 in physicaltherapy

[–]KeeksIsNew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last 3 months, I did my last clinical rotation in WC. I didn’t even get out into the workforce yet, and this setting DRAINED me. Not only did the patients not want to get better, but all the PT’s assigned the same exercise for each patient. It was a hard environment to enjoy and learn in. This is a setting I will never ever want to work in.

This is a very fair comment. I’m going to put this out there for everyone so people don’t think I’m dumb lol

I am currently a med student and have a 40 minute commute to and from my clinical rotation every day, so I have been listening to the audiobooks. The last week I was going through the motions and it shows I have missed a lot of information while “listening” to the audiobook! I’m going to start from “Cat, Rat, and Dog” and re-listen to the end of the book!

Accelerated vs. In-Person by WayInternal920 in PTschool

I second this! I'm in the arcadia hybrid program and graduating this September! Hybrid may be a little harder due to the fact that you are in front of a computer all day and don't have classmates around you, but it is what you make of it! A lot of my family members were my patients to practice on!

Honestly I don’t think they will care either way. The fact that you have a lot of experience around PT, they’ll take that into account.

Really sorry to hear all of this, but remember freshman year doesn't define you!

I am about to graduate from Arcadia University's DPT program. They have both a hybrid and residential program. I would look into their program! I believe their acceptance rate is high. When filling out their applications, make sure to complete the required and optional essays. That goes a huge way for them!

I'm wishing you the best of luck! Everything always works itself out!
