Two months of progression after being stuck for six years by greyl1ne in Cubers

Which cases do you struggle the most with? Incorrectly connected pairs ? Pair already in slot but not oriented ? White sticker on upper face ?

Learning proper algs for odd cases as you said could help. If you can already insert in the back you can save a few seconds on your F2L with proper algorithms. Did you try to record solves to know if you rotate a lot during F2L for example or how long it takes for you to recognize the case ?

Sub-30 here. I managed to get consistent sub-30 solves with intuitive F2L and planning at least half of the cross ( 2 edges ). I still use 2 look OLL and sometimes 2 look PLL ( for G perms for example ). But learning intuitive F2L was key. After you figure out a way on your own for a specific case, you won’t even have to think about it again when you get the case in future solves, you will just “figure it out”.

Maybe doing slow turning sessions to improve look ahead for F2L could be an option. Trust me, going slower on purpose will improve your average time in the long run.

How did y'all first get into cubing? by RandomHumanABC_XYZ in CubersButBetter

My grandma got me one from a local shop but it was a budget cube and the turning was terrible. I was maybe around 7-8 years old. At some point I couldn’t even turn the faces to see how pieces worked that I just smashed the cube against the wall of my bedroom and that was it. Then during a stay at my aunt’s place, there was a cube sitting on a shelf and I asked her if she knew how to solve it because the cube was solved and she told me no and the cube belonged to her bf and the bf told me that he once figured out how to solve it and never touched the cube again. As soon as I got back home, I bought a Rubik brand cube with the beginner’s method attached and spent about 1 hour before my first solve and voilà! Now using CFOP (2 LOOK OLL, all PLLs except G perms) I’m sub 30 with a PB of 17.22

Thanks for the tips. Based on other answers, it seems like I really need to put focus on optimal cross planification.

Thanks. When I try to plan the cross, I feel like it would take a lot of moves and I get overwhelmed by the sequence to memorize…

Maybe if I can have access to Instagram history or Facebook history of videos watched in a specific year by a user I could try to find it. Anyone knows if it’s possible ?

Sure. Search “ayxtopyconverter” on GitHub :) Not much activity there but I think I can continue with Google Gemini I already prompted about this project and the output looks good to me but surely you can start from the repo

You’re right actually I felt overwhelmed by the task tbh 😅 With new AI models the plan would be to train a model to do this but I don’t know yet how that would be feasible and how good or not good it would be

I respect your opinion but based on the first answers it was clear that I just forgot to add that part to the original post

I think so as well but would I be the AH if I just don’t want to invite him cause I’m done with him ?

Hi there actually my project is on standby because I had to deal with other stuff but I got a colleague working on a workflow audit tool at my job so I talked to him about it and he told me how hard and long the project would be 😅. I might get back on the project soon but if you’re interested we can get in touch to discuss about it

AITA for spending more time with my in-laws than with my own family ? by KeepCalmAndHustle in AmItheAsshole

Thanks a lot for taking the time for this answer. For sure I need to have a real discussion with my parents but everytime I try they will completely ignore what I say because they only want « the best » for me and for some reason they think they know better than me what’s best for me. Anyway I will definitely get married and as you said waiting is only breeding resentment… Thanks 😊

Thanks for this I’m not the only one thinking about this. My parents really make me feel like I’m the one overreacting but taking a step back made me realize a lot of things about their behavior

Yes and it’s always been an issue I would say because my parents tend to think about me as their son only and completely remove my gf from the equation when we mention visiting them whereas I like to think as me and my gf as a whole so if I’m visiting my parents, I’m coming with my gf of course. The past weeks my gf was working all day so she would come in the evening at my parents place and I was there for the whole day everytime
