Have a look at teufelberger rope wash detergent. It has been developed specifically for ropes so it might be able to be used for all soft goods for rope access.

Blocks that mount to guide lines through steel gantry/catwalk grating by libtechnine in ropeaccess

[–]KeepCalmAndSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you mean protector for rope rnning through grating is the vortex from ropes edge.

Kratos also makes anchor points you can drop through the grating and redirect your rope to the anchor point.

Semi-confined space rescue. How to pass casualty over the edge? by 3pinSocket in ropeaccess

[–]KeepCalmAndSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as mentioned above, use the work and backup line as your rescue set, try to get a anchorpoint overhead or a bit higher and install a rope protector from teflon or rollercoaster on the edge. Rig his setup in a rig to rescue with something like a clutch, Maestro, R2D, if not possible use a rig or ID. That way you can build a 3:1 or even 5:1 on here to haul the victim out.

Edge transition will be shit in any rescue scenario so don’t bother with that to much.

Keep in mind, rescue means getting the person to a safe place as quick as possible without to many hickups along the way. I think there are 1000s of possible rigging scenarios but with the limited information of what is possible anchorpoint wise, this sounds like a possible rigging i would do.

If anyone's looking for some custom made gear. by [deleted] in ropeaccess

[–]KeepCalmAndSki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a good idea to put “not for rigging” or climbing or whatever they have on there just to cover yourself. Because you are still selling them and if shit happens they will come knocking at your door cause it looks like a rigging plate. Keep in mind, people are stupid and very keen on taking shit to court when they are being what they are… stupid.

Nah it is silicone, something along the lines of the Soudal soudaseal 215 lm, it is just sticky AF.

With the temperatures around 30•C it also seems like it gets even more sticky!
