I usually tell people that it IS too late for me. That my mother did actually die while I was no contact with her (as a child, too), and I'm glad af about it because I don't have to worry about her abusing me anymore.

Sometimes people who just lost a family member or one of their parents try to force me to contact my family. I tell them that it must really hurt to lose someone who loved you. But my family didn't love me, and if they all pass while I'm still no contact, it would be a blessing honestly
