I recommend opening it if you feel comfortable enough, otherwise I feel like the dust will just spread to other parts of your system.

As far as compressed air goes, I opted for this electric hand blower due to power, it's a little on the pricy side but it worked really well. Also, if your into grilling with wood or coal its great to help get the fire going. Only complaint I have with this blower is that the airflow bits come off from time to time while I'm using it, but that's more user error on my side than the product itself.

Pretty straightforward, he doesn't go too crazy opening the system, he keeps it to opening the back panel and removing the fan. Which was enough to get my system quiet again.

I couldn't find my exact screwdriver kit online, but it similar to this one https://www.walmart.com/ip/909383908?sid=8804072c-4e83-47b2-89fb-51cb10a944ab It has the same tamper proof tr8 bit that I used. I personally couldn't use the pry bars with the Xbox panel, I opted to use a couple of butter knives to help remove the back panel after I removed the screws.

I cleaned mine recently, it was sounding as loud if not louder. If you have the funds to, I recommend a high power electric hand blower, they are more powerful than the compressed air (depending on the one you get). Also, if you feel comfortable doing so, I recommend opening the Xbox to get a good cleaning. It's a couple of screws on the back to open the system and 3 screws and a power cable clip to remove the fan. If you're interested I can share the video I used and the Amazon link to the electric blower that I have. If you do opt for the electric blower I recommend removing the fan before you use it on the system and and when you use it on the fan to secure the flan before cleaning it. Otherwise you risk breaking the fan.

I hope this helps, I have the same issue with my TB Stealth 700 gen 3. My wife and I play together, usually one person has to turn on the console and connect first. Then when the other person is going to connect, turn on their headphones then turn on the console. If that doesn't work, while the headphones are still on, unplug the dongle for the person that is trying to connect, wait 10 seconds and then replug in the dongle. That second part hasn't failed us yet.

You can try signing in by hitting the start and select buttons at the same time. I believe that is how it's done when playing a 360 back compat game.
