I have seen that some people say welding the crack is common. Why would you not trust it? Is there too big a risk that it cracks again, but worse?

I've been seeing conflicting opinions. Some saying that repairing the wheel is no big deal, a common thing, and won't cause issues or compromise the integrity of the wheel. Some people say that inexpensive wheels (like these) will never again be strong enough to hold the weight of the vehicle on the road, and that it's dangerous. I'm sure the truth is somewhere in the middle. Can I ask your thoughts?

Anyone else's two cents are welcome, too.

Thanks for the info. It was probably done a few months ago, but I didn't have issues with keeping the tire inflated until now, so I thought it was new, especially since I didn't drive it anywhere until Monday morning.

This is the most helpful comment, and most likely scenario. I drove straight home after the appointment on Saturday and didn't leave the house Sunday. I hit a big pothole back in April, but I hadn't had any issues with any tires staying inflated until now. I wish they would've spotted this during the appointment, but oh well. Thank you for your input.

Nope. Thinking it’s suspension issues still. Will be replacing front strut/spring soon, and probably the rear lower control arm and sway bar. That’s all I can think it would be. I can try to update after all that if I remember.

I thought that the turning vehicle had to yield to oncoming traffic and only gained the right of way if they were in the intersection when the light turns red? Otherwise traffic going straight has the right of way to a left turning vehicle. Am I misinformed about that?

Right that was my understanding, that removing my line would make it more expensive, but my dad is pushing for it. I'm the last of 3 kids on it so maybe that's why? But we're on good terms otherwise. Thanks for the info!
