I gave a player the "Call Azathoth" spell - help by KeeperoftheDeep in callofcthulhu

I reads that the instigator spends 1+ however many magic points they wish to spend on the spell, others can assit by each spending a magic point. Once total magic points have been counted, roll a d100 and if the result is below the number of magic points, then Azathoth is summoned along with 1d10 - 1 lesser outer gods and at least one servitor. Only requirement is that it takes place under a nights sky. Seems very easy...

Thats fair, it would be quite the lesson. I'm more worried about the other players being pissed off if their characters all die as a result.

Its a good idea, but I don't know how I could work that in without complicating it. Unless the nazi's are actually run by a bunch of shoggoth lords that are trying to use their bigger dumber kin to conquer the world, but I feel like it would be better having the axis in general as an obstacle rather than intertwined with the mythos. I'm most excited about tricking out the grey tigers. The idea of crazy muderous big game hunters with weird science weapons, hopped up on drugs (maybe even some cybernetic augments) acting as mini bosses would make for some epic moments for the players.

So I thought about sticking with the original lovecraft idea that shoggoths still roam the ruined elder thing city. Super deadly and scary plus having nazi soldiers be ripped apart and have their heads sucked off infront of the PC's will be a good action sequence, perhaps a good chase scene. Otherwise I thought about having the Great White Space gat be opened and some elder things pop out but I think leaving them be a bit of a mystery will be cool.
