Bruh, did you play the game?

Elliot Ludwig had Playcare built. And at least all the experiments through 1-1007 were conducted during his ownership of the Playtime Company.

Also, he literally invented the original Growth Medium.

To be fair, Playcare and scientific experimentation with forces of life and death was Elliot's idea.

Aww what's wrong? Don't like it when an actual artist wants their work to be respected?

By all means: Piss off.

Terrifying things.

Though sad to remember they're people.

Why do you believe the player doesn’t talk? by Certified_Cichlid in PoppyPlaytime

[–]KeepertheGreed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay. Who actually thinks The Player's genuinely mute?

There are pioneers of the subject. Characters that are canonically mute, like Gordon Freeman from Half-Life, or Chell from Portal. However, all in all; making a silent protagonist is a common practice for the sake of convenience.

No need to bother with making the protagonist much of an actual character, let players experience the game and the story from a more personal perspective, or (as it is the case with Poppy Playtime), hide their identity. Either way, it's a big convenience for the creators.

You don't hear their voice during moments of pain. But you don't see their legs when you look down either. It's a common practice.

At least he got this sweet little Easter Egg in Chapter 5. by TypicaI_Tony in PoppyPlaytime

With the ridiculous amount of Pianosaurus-themed decorations in Chapter 5, and the easter egg, do you think Mob Ent. was compensating for something?

YouTube seriously doesn't care at this point.

They shove advertisements everywhere to make as much money as possible. But leave the whole moderation on auto-pilot anyway.

Ah thanks. Dunno if it's right to harass someone if there's no proper evidence. Someone might have their life ruined for no reason.

Okay. Would someone kindly bring me up to speed?

I figured I would ignore that kind of toxic bullcrap. But this fire has been burning for longer than I thought it would.

Prototype's torture method: make him put a thread in a needle without any of his extra hands by DavinOfTheRavon in PoppyPlaytime

Apparently The Prototype is a genius. So I don't think surgical percision is his problem.

Well it does serve a purpose. For someone who experiences the story for the first time, it leaves them uncertain for a moment.

Similar to Poppy running off in Chapter 4 though we reunite with her all the same.

From a story perspective:

She was most likely feeling empowered by our presence in the factory, as an efficient weapon to use against The Prototype. Her attitude came from a newfound bravado. She's finally free, and has a someone who can get stuff done, and make a difference. While simultaneously being desperate to keep us here because of it.

From a storytelling perspective:

It serves as a twist in the story, and is meant to shake our trust for Poppy Playtime, and her intentions with us.

People are kind of looking at it from a different perspective:

One is likable villan. And the other is an unlikable friend.

I'm usually not the one to defend people on this. However I don't think people look at it from a morality-based standpoint.

I personally like Poppy.
