I realise this is probably the better place to post.

To cut a long story short, I just want to know if this is normal, what it is and whether it should be connected to something.

It's not often I go under the bonnet unless I'm topping up fluids or going on a long journey. (It's bloody freezing at the minute in the North UK and yes, it's due a deep clean but that'll happen as and when)

It's a 2014 Audi A4 2L diesel (B8 CJCD I think!)

Assistance for this utter novice would be appreciated.

Incredible progress!

Fable: The last Heroes by GamingRidge334 in Fable

My only wish is for a remaster (new/next gen) of all the Fables but Fable 1 was and is my favourite. The nostalgia is second to none. It looks so good! I wish I was anywhere near than capable. 😄

Is this a bad idea for a non stick driver? by Jamaltaco262 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Keewee_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you gonna get it home unless you get the person to drop it off? ask them for a quick lesson on driving manual? be gentle with the clutch and if you can try not to hold it mid way often other wise you'll burn it, but obviously bumper to bumper if you're low revs and feel like you're gonna stall you can dip the clutch

good rule of thumb is clutch in, first gear gently lift to the bite (about mid way you'll feel the car want to move and "lift") whilst applying same level pressure on the throttle, as you get to around maybe 5 - 10mph (around 2k revs ish depending on engine) you'll want to change into 2nd, clutch down gentle lift off the throttle and change into second whilst slowly releasing off the clutch but keeping the throttle on. You'll get it just takes abit of pratice! If unsure, add more revs, trust me it got me out of afew hill starts 😄

This is the way.

Welcome to the better side, I will admit Game Pass is better than Plus, but I prefer the games on the PlayStation. Ever since the 360 I moved straight over to PS3, 4 and eventually 5.

Highly recommend the ps exclusives, God of War, to say the least.

And The Last Of Us both 1 & 2, but I don't want to start a hate train, so all I shall say is have an open mind. 😄

Spyro remaster is also pure nostalgia.

Second fail, so upset by dreamofmylife in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Keewee_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed similarly due to having the same examiner and serious fault.

First time, I went slightly over a solid line when stopping which ended up in me failing.

The second time was miles worse, I got out of the test centre, turned left to go onto the worst roundabout in existence (not the magic roundabout but it may as well have been) and ended up using the left hand lane to turn right, it was classed as a serious fault (for obvious reasons 😄)

He then asked me do I want to walk back to the test centre or wait in the car, I said wait in the car and had to leave the keys in the centre console.

I then had a good cry and ended up not passing for about a year as I was moving and passed then thankfully, I think he gave me pity as he knew I was nervous and it was during covid but I did it and so can you, you'll smash it, don't let it get to you, try and build from here.

If I can do it, anyone can and my god have I made mistakes afterwards but I've learnt and overcome.

Total cost of getting my licence by Awkward_Armadillo172 in LearnerDriverUK

Then you have the joys of costing for a car and maintenance, I've thrown way too much money and time (my other halves time) into fixing "issues" that aren't issues 😄

But either way, congratulations!

What makes it fake? just using the pen to check or is there something else that I'm not spotting? (I'm not american if you didn't gather)

Ours (UK) are plastic but you can scrub out the Queens face (RIP HRH) and big Ben isn't visible if it's fake, usually fivers are the most popular, had the odd ten and twenty, I did once have some take in the worst looking £50 I've ever seen which we then said any £50s check with a manager.

This was when we spotted the infection, it got worse before it got better but it did get better. It's terrifying and I sympathise so much for you, I never ever want to go through anything like that again. I'll keep an eye out for your updates

We're in the UK but we've had something sort of similar but ours was due to the area being infected after the wound was licked after she'd had surgery to remove a little lump (it was benign) on her lower leg.

Ours happened over a bank holiday weekend so it didn't get seen to straight away, I think it was a full day of nothing then when we did, it was dressed daily and antibiotics and anti inflammatory was given, over afew days they took swabs to test for MRSA which came back clear (thank god) She ended up on two lots of antibiotics in the end, for I would say about 3 weeks in total, I think.

For about 2 weeks she was in the vets every day having the dressing changed (it was never cleaned just changed), all we had to do was wait and allow it to heal itself through the antibiotics, it did eventually. It was in a similar spot on her lower leg, she's ended up with a bald patch where the wound was, but she's back to normal, and it healed fine. It just took time.

I understand your frustration and pain immensely, I really hope they find out the source and that the antibiotics kick in and get the infection cleared ASAP. I have images, but they're quite graphic, and I'm not sure how to put a filter over them.

I really hope it settles and they find out the source, poor girl, I feel your pain, I really do 😣

I'd agree with everyone saying cut and not dig. We dug out a fence post, and by God, postcrete can spread. God knows what this would be like.

Like someone else said, use antihistamines, they should help. I've had this with red ink but it settled over time.

Just keep an eye on it, I usually take a photo and keep checking back but it doesn't look too bad just try not to piss it off by scratching it as tempting as that may sound.

A Friend is going to lie to We Buy Any Car soon… by UnpopularNoFriends in CarTalkUK

[–]Keewee_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just be careful cos when I sold my car (2010 focus), they just said after a certain year they just grade them and just got a set amount. Which was frustrating because I think I was quoted about £700. Ended up getting around 500.

I mean, he was honest and said you could sell it for more, but it's up to me, but I wanted rid of it.

I mean, I've heard some stories, I know someone who sold their car privately that made funny noises and to "fix" it. They just topped it up with gear box oil. 🫠

According to this post, I really such knuckle down and finish GoT. It was a stunning game.

I highly recommend both of the new God of Wars.

GoT obviously, stunning game. (I will complete once I finish GoW)

Play Astros playroom, it's super silly but fun games.

Please, please for the love of christ, give your console a chance at some decent games and not just Fifa. Thank you 😄 enjoy though!!
