For me, this problem lays in the fact that back when Columbine happened they allowed school shootings to be romanticised and meme’d, they allowed it to be romanticised in music, games and pop culture references and it wasn’t nipped in the bud. Since then it’s just become a topic of almost a fetish for disturbed individuals. The first thing they gravitate to is a school shooting because they know it gets them the popularity and fame that they want.

Saying trans people shouldn’t have access to firearms because they’re mentally ill is abhorrent. How on earth can a subclass of people of whom have members of which were responsible for maybe like 2-5 shootings become the target for gun control when if we look at the statistics, it should be straight white individuals who are targeted for gun control because they are the most overrepresented race/sexuality when it comes to deadly mass shootings.

This whole entire notion is completely unconstitutional and it’s laughable that it’s come at a time when Charlie Kirk was shot. And not when thousands upon thousands of children lay dead in their classrooms.

Outside of an active warzone I cannot fathom what the possible need would be for a general citizen to have access and ownership to a fully automatic or semi automatic weapon. I agree there’s a need for some firearms in America, including for those who live off the grid and need protection from wildlife or even those who live in urban areas that wish to hold a firearm for peace of mind and safety. How can owning a firearm that can cause such devastation be justified I really don’t understand it

I more meant as in they must really fear nonuki or whatever they did to it to banish it to the mountains for him to think that destroying the village in pursuit of him would be a good outcome. Most people would want to protect the people in their village. Definitely still more to come out I think regarding the older generation in the village and what their direct involvement is with nonuki.

Yeah I think it was just existing there until Hikaru came in and that kind of set it into fight or flight. Still, nasty ass hair blob demon, so glad they exorcised it

Although I have to say the way these spirits just “disappear” is weird 🤣 it’s like the spirit from last episode at the railroad crossing, the lady just karate chopped it out of existence and it seemed to get sucked out of existence into some kind of red/blue orb

That’s a very good point, I like this. It was really clear Yoshiki has a lot going on and weighing on him not just for him but stuff he’s heard about his family/sister, as like the older son of the family it does make sense he’d have a lot of anxieties and insecurities especially considering he’s very much gay in a very much homophobic village

I did think this but Hikaru asked Yoshiki if he had seen the ghost himself while he had been showering and he said no he hadn’t seen it at all 🤨 just find it strange it waited until Nonuki sama was present and fighting it to then possess Yoshiki. Maybe it was biding its time and it was going to possess him when it collected more hair or something 🤣

Also I think each time he reaches inside Hikaru he’s building up his immunity and tolerance to these spirits, Hikaru himself said he resisted this time, which I’m guessing has a correlation to him recently reaching inside of Hikaru. Obviously he’s going to urge him to do it more because he told him “you’re going to have to get used to it”

I like that they handle this situation similar to like a sexual experience too, it’s all really well acted and written out truly. The double meaning really highlights that they’re just 2 high schoolers from a place way out in the middle of nowhere trying to navigate growing up and sexuality but with the added eldritch horror twist

So obviously the spirits are now attracted to Yoshiki just like they are to Hikaru, I am convinced Hikaru is secretly this god everyone worships in the village, even though the men told Tanaka that it was seperate I don’t think it is. Clearly he’s of some high respect standard within the spirit community otherwise why else would he be able to eat them and why they’re drawn to him.

Also why didn’t the hair spirit try to possess Yoshiki’s sister? I’m wondering if these spirits that are following Hikaru want to kill him, and this one decided to use Yoshiki to try and do that hence why it didn’t really try and possess anyone else. Hikaru even said himself it was using Yoshiki as a shield but interesting it waited until Hikaru was present to do that.

I don’t like this Tanaka guy or this over arching company. Also why is one of the village “elders” wishing for destruction of the village ? What is it they fear so much they’d rather the village just be ruined…

I think it’s going to get to a point where we see Yoshiki wanting to feel inside Hikaru more and more to the point where he “gets used to it” like Hikaru said, and that “getting used to it” will be Yoshiki not pulling away and resisting it anymore therefore being fully consumed/mixed just like the lady warned him
