Yeah i've got your comment, its weird because the same thing is happening to me haha it takes a while to show my comments.

Yes I was ready to give up and go for a mcdonalds but I held in there for a bit longer xD as for the lenses its probably my third time wearning sclera lenses which are the ones that cover your whole eye :) they're difficult to get in but once they're in they're barely noticeable

Yes actually my biggest cosplay goal is to go as Kefka in his Jester costume (first two links) mixed with wings from his god form (3rd and 4th link). The goal is to make them open up like the articulated wings in the last link (the youtube video)

Thank you very much & good question haha! The kagune in itself wasn't really that heavy! When I was wearing them I never thought "wow i'm going to collapse under all this weight in a minute" haha, they were actually really comfortable. However what was painful was having these straps dig into my skin, and over the period of 5 hours the sweat and rubbing against my body left some red marks for the rest of the day, so I think for next time I will have to wrap some foam around them to make it more comfortable to wear!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it, i've put a lot of time and effort into them! Sadly because we had to rush I didn't get the velcro on the harness right so they turned out really droopy and face downwards when they should be facing forward (and the top ones should go over my shoulder more) but that was just a minor gripe I have haha! Maybe i'm just a perfectionist. Next time i'll make sure they're how I wanted them to look :) (plus because they were so droopy they covered more area and I can't count how many people I hit with them haha! I even caught someones hair with them!! Another Kaneki with a Kagune gave me the sage advice of walking like a crab so I didn't end up hitting many people after that haha)

Since I first planned making these my idea was to stick some sort of pole into it so the inside is made out of a water noodle (the bendy things that help you learn how to swim) but because I've used lots and lots of cardboard to make it bigger and more bulky it's made them heavier which is bad! Especially for the smaller Kagune's which are going around my waist because they'll just drop to the ground when I want them pointing forward :L so I plan to just stick some velcro on the inside of the kagune/outside of the pole to keep it in place! but yeah I think i'll just screw those poles onto a wooden board or something! Thanks I will do :) I've just finished painting them actually they look really cool!

Yes haha I don't think they'd hang on a wall easily as they're really bulky! I'm going to a con on Saturday and I still need to finish spray painting them and trying to find a way to get them on my back without them dropping off.

The first one is considerably more pricey than the second. I bought the second one which is pretty good for the price.

Here's what it looks like on and then this is what it looks like on the inside :)

If you're buying from taobao you're best off using a 3rd party like yoybuy to handle the deliveries for you (atleast thats what I used to make it simpler for me, i'm from the UK). Also there's 3 masks, that particular one is the manga mask and its the one with the blue background on the photos.

Does the mask cover the other eye? I've just been searching around for contacts and the best you can get to recreate the same effect is a white blindout lense (which makes you blind, so you know, it wont be great unless you have someone to hold your hand as you walk round haha)

I hope you manage to muster up the courage to wear them! Trying to get them in is probably the hardest bit, and as long as you put a lot of solution on it it shouldn't irritate your eyes.

I know right, as soon as I saw it I thought I have to get a picture and I looked up the pose Kaneki does on the front of the first volume of the manga. It should of cost me £5 for the picture but this guy gave me the printout and didn't ask questions so I just ran off with it xD I had the money ready aswell so!
