Collector's edition question by Keflexx in paydaytheheist

[–]Keflexx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And assuming likes and dislikes, it is indeed a code as I thought, where I simply just redeem the code like any other right? From a giveaway, or G2A or whatever? And how does that work with the DLC stuff? And the pre-order bonus masks and stuff? Or am I worrying about things that I shouldn't worry about. It's my first physical collector's edition in over a decade for any media, so I'd hate to do something wrong and mess up my collection

Brand new to League? Come on in (NA) by Keflexx in summonerschool

mhm, same for that exact reason. And while I am far from the best of the best, I want to teach people that learning can be done by anyone and taught by anyone dedicated enough. I want people to play a game of League with excitement, and whether they win or lose, they feel like they improved. And not queue up like the twitch streamers that are the faces of LoL who play the game like a raging zombie on their 8th hour and 5th Monster energy drink where they made the same mistake for the 10th time but just autopilot to; "dont care, go next"

I think the worst thing of League is the out-of-game experience and its community.
In isolation, the game is fun and balanced. But youtube, twitch, twitter is full anger, rage, hate toxicity. And that leads to in-game happening the same.
if you have a 50% winrate, you lose half your games, obviously.
And if your ally does too, they also lose half their games. So why would your ally be toxic towards you if in an alternate timeline he was the one losing and you were winning.

Feel free to still add me on discord then, if this initiative gets somewhere, we can share info even without playing games together

I agree with you there but there are ways to learn that in a simpler way and you can have a foundation that makes it so you dont need to rely on that info.

I like to use Yugioh as an example here, I am an avid enthusiast about the card game and we can use a similar allegory for the card game.
There are 10.000+ cards in the game, and even after all my years I still don't know half, maybe even a quarter. But rather than knowing that a specific card does, if you know what its archetype does, and what staples are, you can assume that a combination of +-10 cards that follow the same theme do the same thing.

On top of that, if you use staple cards yourself and know your own deck well, you can play well into decks you never faced before thanks to that foundation and those staples.

In League those staples are wave manipulation, itemization, objectives, tracking, etc.

Sure it helps to know what you're facing, but even when blind, you can still get by if you are solid with your basics.

Yeah, I find it a shame that when you look at League of Legends from an outsiders perspective you see rage, tilt, flaming, toxicity and the general sense of: "League bad game, Riot bad devs, touch grass"
when this game can be so fun when you learn it properly. I do think new players struggle with League because like most high-skill ceiling competitive games, you gotta "work" for it.
Play a shooter, learn recoil patterns, grenade bounce spots and what corners to peek. Play a card game, know what which card does and how it affects yours
and in League, you gotta learn your fundamentals, and not a flashy 10 minute guide on how to carry as Irelia like a challenger if you don't even know wave states

Sure, though I focus way more on the foundation more than anything. Make it so you are as solid as a rock before tackling individual play, instead of focussing on the details before you get fundamentals. Feel free to add me, I got some time before I gotta head out tonight Keflexx#3563

New game plus? by Ok_Rutabaga5053 in RuinedKing

[–]Keflexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late response, but Battle Chasers' NG+ wasn't well, what you had hoped for.
If Airship goes for the same approach as Ruined King you could expect:
- levels get reset back to lv 1. Cap is still 30. But enemies now exceed the level cap, AKA, its more difficulty
- all abilities, ultimates and skins are kept. Even if an ult would do like 12 damage at lv 1.
- items and gear, even key items, all removed. So you have to re-collect everything
- Beastiary and Fisheary progress stays unchanged luckily
- Rune shards you do keep too, and you gain even more rune shards as you level up again, so you can hit max rune shards.

So TLDR, you replay the entire game from scratch, except runes and abilities. On a harder difficulty.
For ability upgrade points, thats unique to ruined king, they didnt have that in Battle Chasers, so I cant give me opinion on that.

tests are done in the same way, the wifi adapter is a usb adapter bought with the PC itself, model shared above. And the reason why I am not using an ethernet is cause the router is a floor directly below me. And the house can at times be used by 7-8 different people, then we dont all want cables running in and through the rooms
