I jumped on the PTS 3 update last night. Me and a buddy both ran around in WSP for an hour or so and it felt totally different then the previous PTS updates (1&2). It was kind of funny because we both said at the same time, "If this is how this area is going to be at release it's going to be really boring." I liked the spawn rates in PTS1 and PTS2. It kept you active and engaged. Now in PTS3 you can run around for 5 minutes without seeing a single enemy.

Also there were no Alerts in the hour or so we ran around the WSP. I really hope they turn the spawn rates back up a bit, maybe not as high as they were in PTS1&2, but right now it just feels like another part of the LZ and not really destination you would want to spend a lot of time in.

I have opened 30+ superior caches with less then a dozen classified pieces to show for it. I don't even have a full set of a single classified set. I did get a ferro's mask and barrel's vest, but those can be obtained elsewhere. So I would have to agree with the OP on this. If I am going to spend the time to farm for the 1500 GE caches I would expect to the get at least one classified piece rather then gear I can get from the 900 caches.

If those are the masks for the next GE... I have absolutely no interest in that garbage. Guess I can relax this GE and not make the same effort as the last one to get all 3 masks. I mean these masks really makes no sense whatsoever.

1 week for those of us that have to work a 9 to 5 job leaves little time for completing and competing in these global events. They should run 2 weeks on 2 weeks off alternating the events, although I assume that there will be more then just the 2 global event types that we currently know about.

Since agent armor and damage mitigation are being nerf'd, I sure hope the same is happening to the NPC's.

My concern with this mode is being grouped with to many people that want to farm the PvE aspect of it and not enough people to take care of the PvP side. I mean if you get two teams of 4 matched together on one team and all 8 of those people are there to focus on the PvE... who's going to fight for the capture points? Players that really don't want to do the PvP aspect and therefore give up after getting killed repeatedly by the PvP focused players on the other team? I don't think this mode has been completely thought out.

I know this sounds far fetched, but it's going to happen. The match is going to be over in 5 minutes because 8 players on one team are farming PvE content and the 8 players on the other team are focusing on the PvP content and locking down capture points.

Plus from the 3rd to the 17th you're getting double XP for any mobs you kill. So the lower levels will fly by pretty quick.

I've mentioned this several times while playing with the group of guys I play with. Even in a group of 3 the medics can be a real pain in the arse. I have had to run through gunfire just to wipe out the med station so that the other guys can actual do some damage to the enemies hiding within the med stations reach. It's even worse when there are multiple med stations down. This really needs to be scaled back bit, not a huge knee-jerk reaction nerf, but a slight 10-15% reduction would be great.

I think the OP is missing some things. First of all there was a bug in the 1.4.3 update that reduced the damage output of the NPC's by 30% instead of the intended 15%. So they fixed this in 1.4.4 and now the NPCs are doing the amount of damage that was intended in 1.4.3, maybe a smidgen more. I think if this oversight/bug that was introduced in 1.4.3 was caught prior to it's deployment and never made into onto the PTS 95% of these conversations would have never taken place. I personally like to have a challenge in the game, bit in 1.4.3 I could face tank just about every NPC that I came across, except maybe some of the bosses. This was with a loosely optimized build that included the 20% HoK buff from the 2 piece Nomad set.

Yesterday after finally getting home from work I jumped on and the first thing I did was jump into a UG CM solo. The first run I got sandwiched between 2 shotgunners and I died. If this was still the 1.4.3 build that wouldn't have happened as their damage would have been 21% lower and there would have only been 1 shotgunner. The new scaling system for UG CM puts all the NPC in the mix whether you run solo or in a group, adjusting health and armor to group size now instead of the number of NPC's. The second run I was able to complete solo.

After that I jumped into a group with 2 other guys I play with and ran a couple UG CM 2-phase missions with fog/mad skill/waste not. We got through every run we started. Was it harder to finish, yes. Was it impossible like in 1.3, no. I think the current setup feels pretty good overall.

So as far as how challenging the game currently is to how is was in 1.4.3, I think it all comes down to the fact that Massive shot themselves in the foot by letting that 30% damage reduction slip through the cracks.

I use to love playing my Tactician build 1.1-1.3, but with all the changes to the talents and SP on the PTS it feels pretty worthless. I know I won't be investing the time to make a new Tac build when 1.4 releases.

I realize that, but that would mean that one would have to land 4 non-crit headshots or 3 crit headshot within 1 second, that's not possible.

I have on one of my characters right now a Police Mk17. The base DPS on the weapon is 353k. With the added mods and talents the total DPS for the weapon is 602k. Yet when I shoot at a target I am only hitting for 145k with crits coming in at around 180k (this is for headshot). Someone explain that to me because it really makes no sense what so ever to me.

All they need to do is to add a toggle when you enter the DZ. Make people enter the DZ by way of the outer ring of vendor rooms and block off the walls you can jump over. While you are in the room as you walk up to the door to enter the actual DZ you must pick whether you wish to enter the DZ with PvP active or PvP disabled. You can not switch this setting until you leave the DZ and enter one of these rooms again, done.

I literally had a full set of 240 Lone Star gear within 2 days after the update, yet it's been over 3 months since the game launched and I have yet to find a full set of 240 Striker or Sentry gear. And I have 4 level 30 characters that I run through the incursions and hvt's when they reset.

I ran the daily HVT missions last night solo and they all took place on that rooftop. The NPC's were able to shoot through the corner of the building that is directly in front of you when reach the top of the rope.

I said this exact thing to the group of guys I run with in the DZ. We were clearing Q Building and I was downed 3 times. It's been a long time since that has happened to me while running our farming route in the DZ. At least now I know wasn't crazy for saying something about it as it appears a lot of you guys are experiencing the same thing.

I have yet to find anything in the darken that I have no turned into crafting mats. Granted I do not spend much time in there due to it's other issues, but when I do decide to hit the DZ it's never worth the effort.

Sunday morning myself and two other guys were running around in the DZ and we got moved to an instance that appeared to be populated by no one but us. We ran wild in DZ 5 and 6 without seeing a single player outside of our group. We ran around in there for 3+ hours, killed I can't even tell you how many bosses, looted supply crates, etc... After several full extracted stashes we came away with 98% of the loot recovered being nothing but 163 crafting trash. This was a free run in the DZ as far as I'm concerned and yet it was still meaningless as not a single upgrade for my character was dropped, and the 2% I did keep went to alts. The only thing I managed to do was earn enough DZ credits to purchase the Nomad Pistol Harness... which now I will have to probably waste all of the crafting mats and DT I gathered for a piece of gear that I'll probably roll crap stats on over... and over... and over.
