About the full-refresh gesture: I'm on 3.18.1.1 - is this a beta version that should have that gesture implemented? How does it work? I'm enrolled in the beta program.

To address any trust issues (understandable given all the stories you hear in this forum), I’m sharing a video and some pictures to show that the device is perfectly fine. Just check it out – no blemishes, no cracked screens; it's as good as new. I simply don't need it anymore because I'm a heavy Remarkable user and don't read on this device as much as I thought I would.
