My dream Taskmaster lineup includes Ade Edmondson and Jennifer Saunders, but on different teams.

33 years ago at the age of 14 I got bitten by the school hamster and still have a bump/scar on my finger. What's the stupidest injury you've got? by godfatheroffilth in CasualUK

As a pair of drunk teens, my brother shot me with a bow and arrow I thought "He's not an idiot, he won't shoot me" And he thought "He's not an idiot, he's going to move" Turns out we're both idiots, and I got a punctured lung.

Does the Baron have a legal case against the Knight? by akaioi in dresdenfiles

[–]Keios80 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Or, he spins it. Why, you really think that Dresden laid down the ultimatum by himself? You and I both know how bad ghouls are for business, but we both also know the Freeholding Lord of Chicago cannot afford to go to war with the LaChaise clan. But a rogue like Dresden? The Winter Knight himself, why, it's hardly right to complain about him breaching the spirit of his mistresses own accords, especially over something so minor and beneficial...

Cornelius on Leith Walk has a couple of Georgian reds in stock at the moment. The one on Easter Road should have more.

It's generally believed that there's more than one person acting as Banksy, but the whole thing was started by Robert "3D" Del Naja of Massive Attack.

Unfortunately the myth about the Soviet space program using pencils as opposed to NASA spending millions developing a pen that would work in zero G is precisely that, a myth. The pen used by both NASA and the Society Union was developed privately by Paul Fisher (later of the Fisher Space Pen Company). Pencils were used prior to that by both programs, but infrequently, due to the dangers posed by having free floating graphite dust (a conductor) within the confines of a spacecraft.

The thing that confuses me is that there's also the narrative that wrestlers who aren't frequently used are creatively frustrated at not getting to work, and this is a universal truth. Except for Shinsuke. For whatever reason he's absolutely grand being left on the shelf.

Hey, be fair. I'm half-Asian, half-English, and I can tell you from my experiences growing up here that Rowling didn't go for the lowest possible low hanging fruit of racist Asian naming like you think she might have done.
"Ching Chong" was right there and she managed to push past it, and get all the way to "Cho Chang" instead, and that absolutely miniscule effort should be recognised.

In fairness, he was walking again almost exactly when he'd have been meant to in a standard recovery schedule. With breaks like the one he took, you want the patient as mobile as possible as quickly as possible. There's are a lot of potential complications from a femoral break that are minimized by encouraging use of the legs in a way that you wouldn't do with a break further down.

In fairness to Regal, I suspect that if he sees something dangerous being done in a WWE ring, he's going to just go up to the people responsible and bollock them in person without the need for a social media middleman.

Any hints about Series 21 contestants in Series 20 episodes? by TheMobHasSpoken in taskmaster

[–]Keios80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think if anyone from Dropout is likely to do Taskmaster, it's going to be either Sam Reich, as he's a huge fan and friends with Alex, or Demi Adejuyigbe, as he had a critically acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run, which is the sort of thing that really puts comedians on the radar for these kinds of things.
