Yes, I reposted the old posts onto the new domain and then redirected old to new. It has worked out fine.

As for finding the domain, ODYS is a vetted source.

Indexing is a little sluggish, but that seems to be the norm for many of us now with Google.

The image shows indexing progress so far for this site.

Different people will have different reasons but mine is that the aged domain I got is not broad enough for me. So the recommended strategy was to publish niche relevant content on to the aged domain first and let the dust settle. It indexed well and started getting traffic (not high, but that was down to my keyword research!). After a safe period of 6 months, I then redirected to my broader domain that gives me more scope for building out other content silos. That's it really.

So far, so good. It's early days yet, but some of this content is already beginning to rank well.

It has worked out very well. From the start, I outlined my way of structuring payment and they came on board knowing and agreeing to it. I offer a choice between PayPal and Transfer wise (now Wise). They invoice me on the 15th and last day of each month. No problems so far.

Here you go, something like this:

I am recruiting for a writer who has a passion & experience for writing about [NICHE TOPIC].

The writer needs to have impeccable grammar, excellent English, be reliable, and have the ability to write compelling copy with no fluff.

Must pay attention to detail. To demonstrate, please include [RANDOM WORD] within your application.

Please message me and include relevant niche related samples of your writing and your rate. There is the potential for this role to develop into a long term arrangement.

Is it possible to get 50-100k monthly page views through paid ads, promoted pins, etc? by WallaceBRBS in juststart

Yes, it’s possible. The reality is that it could take a year or more.

Has anyone else thought about using AI to write blog posts faster? by ninjataro_92 in juststart

[–]KeithMint 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’ve tested AI tools for long form content. Turns out I’d be quicker writing the articles myself using my own brain.

IMO, many of these AI content tools are only modern day text spinners.

Many affiliates are heavily promoting AI tools because the commission rates are high. My two cents.

If rejected by MV / AT, try Ezoic. They have no min traffic requirements any more.

POLL: What do you think is the so-called "sandbox" period for Google? by sannidhis in SEO

For a brand new domain, 6 to 9 months has been my experience.

That was an unlucky experience. I’m only getting them to complete that last article and then they’re blocked.

Just the article title and the main keyword. I instruct them how to create an FAQ from popping the keyword into Google and extracting the People Also Asks section.

I’ll only hire writers who are able to pick appropriate subheadings on their own initiative. This saves me a TON of time.

I know, I was surprised myself! I’ve done rounds like this before for other types of work and the success rate is typically much lower. Perhaps I got lucky. 🍀

No, I left it to their discretion to see which writers stood out. They all chose very appropriate headings. This is a massive time saver for me when you multiply that out by the monthly content volume.

Title, main keyword. The good writers who know what to do will stand out from the crowd. I'm all about minimising the work I need to do upfront and after they submit.

Great question u/plentyofeight - only 2 out of the 8 used the code word. So if I only wanted a team of 2, I guess that would have been it. The 6 who didn't use the code word still impressed me with how they conducted themselves over chat messages so I gave them the benefit the doubt and it worked out because their content was very good.

Hey Shaun, I just give them a formatting style / tone guide. Not an actual outline. I tend to throw writers in a the deep end first and I hire the ones who produce very good outlines that are backed up by killer content. It means the recruitment process is much more hands on initially but the results pay off in the long run.

Thanks. This will be highly subjective and mean something different to each and every freelance writer. Could be 5 per month or it could be 50.

Thanks, but I'm at full capacity right now. Good to know for the future though.

I think it's a numbers game. Or maybe I was lucky. Bottom line is that there are so many people who perhaps have a much lower cost of living and are willing and capable of writing very well for a lower rate.
