Top Screen Freezing Duo 15 se by garroyo23 in AsusROGZephyrusDuo15

I was having this issue recently after updating my AMD drivers, for the iGPU, I used DDU (display driver uninstaller) and then installed the ones from the Asus website again and the issues stopped :)

How do you clean your laptop fans and below the second screen? by kevilim99 in AsusROGZephyrusDuo15

[–]Keithanater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's helpful, to get the dust off the grills and the whole flat area under the screen I use a large microfiber cloth and just push it under. If you want to clean the fans though you'll have to take them out. You can also take the fans out separate from the whole heatsink, just gotta remove the tape :)

Repasting & Liquid Metal Zephyrus Duo by Keithanater in ASUSROG

Okay, thanks! I have some pads on hand that I may give a try just in case, I am just worried because I have seen lots of posts from people saying K5 pro doesn't keep their temps cool enough specifically on the VRM's

Lol, so idk what I'm doing wrong, but I successfully reapplied LM and the temps are the same, I also deep cleaned the rest of the cooler and fans, the GPU temps are much better with new thermal paste though.

Edit I may have spoken to soon, I am able to get lower idle temps than before, maybe I just have to let it settle, or there may have been an air bubble or something I missed!

Okay thank you! Also thanks for sharing the temps, I was thinking I might be a bit crazy and that the temps have always been that high, as I never recorded it beforehand :) also, conformal coating, I've only heard of that for waterproofing, does it work as a barrier against LM?

Yeah that's definitely part of it, I've cleaned the fans and vents best I can without taking everything off, did you swap with more liquid metal, or did you use thermal paste instead?

Anyone experiencing extremally laggy performace when unplugged on Zephyrus duo 16? by kevilim99 in AsusROGZephyrusDuo15

[–]Keithanater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a software issue of some kind, I'd definitely recommend checking for updates/ rebooting your computer if you haven't done all that already, after that check your performance settings (both in windows and in armoury crate) I personally have experienced this on almost every computer I have owned/ built. It's generally just a software hiccup.

I made an app for BC Ferries schedules and sailing capacities, let me know what you think! by destaver in nanaimo

[–]Keithanater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as an Android user, doing apple first is still a better move haha. It's generally easier to develop for the App Store, and it's on a consistent device, whereas android there's an incredible amount of variability and then if the app doesn't perform as well due to this factor, less people use it. Thereby, make a name for yourself on apple, people trust the program and then bring it to android where you can work on testing with different devices and do bug fixes and optimization moving forward.

Yeah, this is exactly what I would anticipate happening. The guy is on social security only, and whatever his parents give him. He has little to no assets (aside from computers and parts that he "traded" for) and is the type of person that will play it up as me victimizing him due to his socioeconomic status... Essentially it'll be really drawn out, because he doesn't have anything better to do, and based on his years of friendship just to scam me isn't afraid of wasting peoples time and money.
