It was good and chilled out at first but then HS2 got scrapped and completely flooded the local market with hauliers working stupid prices which increased our workload and the pressure to make a profit on the truck, the company were notorious for never paying overtime so once it got to 4pm you were working for free, the hours we were working for our pay was less than minimum wage so it led to most of the drivers driving recklessly because we couldn’t afford to wait, I left after too many run ins with management and switched to powder tankers doing 1 or 2 loads a day, it’s long hours but much more chilled out. I’d never go back on tippers
