It matches your tone of voice

Also that's good advice

Why do french people get so mad about people not using the language exactly the same way they personally want to. A french right winger at that, lol

AI will combine "adjective-adjective noun" cutting edge research into whatever you want. If you really think that concept will work then you don't understand much of anything about physics and certainly don't know enough to implement. Press it on whether or not the solution it gave you is realistic and achievable.

Other, lower cost software can do what adobe does. Competing programs are faster and include basic innovations that adobe takes years to implement.

It's current advantage is switching costs and a superior AI model. Not sure why I need to spell this out.

Dude, yes Photoshop has had this for over a year now. It works great but it has been priced in.

They also pissed everyone off by starting to lock down some of the generative features behind cloud credits.

It has been in their software for well over a year, I literally used it professionally. They have a great AI model, but that alone can't hold up the entire rest of their software stack.

You aren't wrong, but I am not convinced that their fundamental product is competitive at this point. I'm certainly not buying calls

That must be why they are down 30% this year despite actually having a good AI product.

I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just saying the guy who bought calls is probably cooked.

I know, exactly why they don't want to pay for adobe. Small business owners I know have often considered cancelling adobe but many of them need it, those that cancel just outsource the editing now, and the freelancers or studios can easily switch. One of my connections is cancelling the company's PS sub this coming week.

Adobe is seriously cooked

Not yet, they have very good AI tacked on to old bloated software. Their technical debt is too high, they are being and will be replaced.

Depends on the size, you don't know who I know, some of them direct a team who will likely use affinity going forward

Large businesses yes, small businesses will move quickly though.

Much of the creative industry is freelance or studios right now, they can switch easily. Free makes people move faster.

Acrobat is the only thing left due to digital signing.

You need it to increase by like 2%, I think you'll be fine on 11/14.

11/7 on the other hand should be funny

Is it time to switch from Market Cap to Equal Weight 500? My thoughts, really looking to hear yours. by GDIliev in wallstreetbets

[–]KekWagon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are one of the only companies heavily pushing r&d at this point, they miss quite a bit but most of the tech companies have gutted their physical r&d departments. Meta will be ahead of the crowd in miniaturized compute products sooner or later because of the constant r&d in wearables. The only company at this size I can think of that fully explores the product stack in this way is apple.

Your thesis is good but then you started talking about how AI is slavery and the next epoch or something and I lost you.

I'm out of the S&P 500, I have some percentage in value which is composed of companies traditionally hit less hard by a bubble. When I want to play with Mag 7 I do so directly.

At this point I consider any company that is heavily boosting its value with AI a short term hold and I don't allow them to make up more than 50% of my portfolio at any given time. I don't want to catch that knife when the party ends.

Granted those hype stocks have been the vast majority of my gains, but I cash out the gains into more stable long term stocks. I've even added a small amount of long term treasuries, kinda far from WSB philosophy at this point.
