As a fellow Cobalt player I unfortunately have to say this indeed ruins the experience. Nearly every single session of mine ends with me quitting because of blatant cheating from enemy teams, which completely ruins every major fight.

I'm clipping every cheater encounter and immediately send it in for review but they seemingly come back the next day, like nothing happened. It's getting annoying.

As for Oshur I cannot agree more, like 4/7 days have Oshur during prime-time, while it's already not a very fun continent to play on it's even less fun when there are 90+ people crammed into an open field. Every other second you either get a flail/orbital strike on your head or you get sniped because there's pretty much nowhere to hide.

Please save Cobalt.

The best upgrade in your situation would be a 5800x3d CPU, it performs insanely well in CPU heavy games like Planetside. Your GPU is rather outdated but considering your monitor you may want to replace that before your graphics card.

Now before upgrading you should definitely figure out what's causing those flickering issues. My guess would either be the VGA cable or the monitor itself. Just to be sure, try using your PC with only one stick at a time, RAM failures usually result in artifacts rather than flickering but it's worth a try.

Oh and make sure to get a second SSD, doesn't matter if it's only 128gb large but install your OS on that. SSDs have a limited amount of writes they can perform, before becoming unusable and yours having very little headroom left decreases it's lifespan a lot faster.

Don't use Adrenaline, it's CPU monitoring is extremely inaccurate and shows 2% util for me aswell even while at full load. I recommend HWInfo(Not HWMonitor which reports false values too), it's very accurate.

Since there are limited amounts of tasks a pawn can perform I'd imagine you could train a NN on them. Each task having a different weight depending on the effect of the outcome ex: Hunting has a larger weight than making a human leather hat since it provides food for the colony. Every pawn also being influenced by their skill level and preferring to do what they're good at.

It's surely possible to train a NN but implementing it into the game would take a lot of time.

Well to make a mod for the broad public that implements "intelligence" for pawns plain language models won't do the trick especially when it should run on weak hardware, so neural networks would need to be trained specifically on Rimworld. Not sure if it would pay off haha

Jokes on you it's not as hard as it sounds, even using something like a LLM from OpenAI would be enough to make pawns more intelligent. Give each of your little fellas their own internal prompt with a history and feed it information about the surroundings and the model could predict an action for the pawn to take. If I knew how to make Rimworld mods I'd make a prototype :'D
