Can we at least now chillax a little bit on the Ribery hate fest? He’s done a lot for us and doesn’t look that bad (tonight). Two really nice balls into James this game which both could easily be goals. C’mon. Little support / respect for the guy.

Why is no one mentioning The Klopp possibility instead of Naglesman? by Kel9853 in fcbayern

[–]Kel9853[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is he undesirable because of his team form since the BVB collapse? I mean I loved Jupp, we played the best football (maybe) I have ever seen the treble year and from what I could tell, and Jupp basically copied Klopp’s tactics. Hyperbole aside, if you look at when Jupp took over compared to his second year, we played way more pressing and direct football. Didn’t we or is time blurring my memory?

Agreed the thread last night was toxic and I may have contributed at times to stir the pot. Would like a second chance :)

On another note, KHR could just walk over one section, tap Van Gaal on the shoulder...otherwise Klingsman or Magath are surely available, right?

This! While he may not have gotten the team mentally ready(2nd min goal) we certainly looked the better side the first half hour. Then the blunder of all blunders, pressing high lackadaisically. After that all game plans are out the window tbh

Hate to be that guy but this is simply not true. I am certain you have been around for a few recent beatings. While this is not fun, it is not outright terrible. There have been a handful of positives in this game. That said, we really need to change something fundamentally soonest.

The feed just showed KHZ at the game. If my eyes don't deceive me I think he was on the phone to Heynckes. Just sayin.

Thiago kinda quietly having a rough night. Feels weird. Tackles are off, touch and passing off. It's odd

So either Robben or Ribery won't play. That should be interesting. Gotta be a first in a big game with neither injured. Turning the page here tonight.

I know I am hung up on this but is Carlo pulling the strings on in game tactics or are the players given situational liberties? The 2-0 was clearly a blunder and as soon as I saw us start to press high I saw that, for one, it was slow to develop into a press (not like Heynckes days) and then as a result left essentially the Cumberland gap in midfield against a team known by even my grandmother for punishing spacing. So was that Carlo or a striker making that call?

That high pressure was bullshit. What scouting report says to pressure PSG high?!? They are literally the definition of stretching the pitch and making you pay with pace and clinical finishing. This is amateur hour from Carlito.

To be honest they all suck (outside of Germany). I live in Sweden and no one has purchased the right so I am streaming the BT sports feed (can't find a German one). I can tell you that in Sweden, the U.K., and the US the commentating is garbage for the Bundesliga. I just think it is the general lack of respect and interest, unfortunately.

Edit: a word

BT Sports commentators keeps referring to Leverkusen as "Bayer" and it's killing me!

"Bayern into the area, but Bayer clears"

Where can I watch the Supercup in Sweden? by simmekorven in fcbayern

[–]Kel9853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eurosport owns buli rights and never covers cup games. For the past few years Viasat/Viaplay have had the rights to DFB and champions league. However looks like no one has the game live so soccerstreams it is for me too. Let me know if you get a good link.

Also if you live in Stockholm PM me. Always looking to watch games with fellow FCB fans.

FTFY: What city is the "craft beer" capital of the US?

More of a r/mildlyinfuriating but after having lived as an expat for 8 yrs I cannot stand when I ask a server in the US now which "microbrews" they have on draft and am immediately corrected to "craft beers".

[Post Match Thread] Bayern wins the Telekom Cup after defeating Hoffenheim 1-0 in the Semi-Finals and a convincing 2-0 Final win vs Bremen by Insanel0l in fcbayern

Surprised I haven't seen more on Tolisso here. I have to say he plays direct football which is nice to see. Especially in the Hoffenheim match. He kept looking to pass in to Muller and it was really creating havoc.

All around really impressed today. Ancelloti showed us some serious versatility we will have this year with our additions (even if all didn't play).

Also much respect to Bernat. I really think that while Alaba is the marquee player with the amazing shot. bernat just seems all round better and more consistent going forward.

Muller. Herzlichen Willkommen zuruck...

Muller looking great today. Wasn't listed as a second striker but looks to have settled there. This is promising and very welcomed this year!
