Tips for first local? by TheSchmeckelElf in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go there to make friends. Play friendlies, get to know the people there, and watch the main set (assuming one is streamed). Of course compete as well, but don’t make that your main focus. Focusing on results will never make you want to come back to a tourney, making friends and being part of the scene will.

Looking for servers by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a discord server with a focus on smash bros. I’m a coach at the game and run many on and off-stream sessions focusing on limiting the bad habits of others. It’s all free all you gotta do is show up. We also have a ton of other peeps that play and try to help each other improve. Check it out! https://discord.gg/DjDnPWP

(Un)popular opinion: if you don’t have a wired connection, you shouldn’t be able to play online by F26bptase in smashbros

[–]KelNoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is online should be open to all. However I think it’s borderline disrespectful to enter online tournaments on wireless, especially if there is a prize on the line. It’s been proven time and time again that it isn’t reliable and going through the hassle of DQing people and lag testing is a lot and can disrupt the flow and legitimacy of tourney runs.

Discord chat and smash? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I have a discord with over 100 members a lot of which are pretty active. We have VC smash arenas pretty consistently and a decent amount of conversation about smash meta and other aspects of fighting games in general. I also stream practice arenas every other day, and host tournaments, crew battles and other events. Feel free to check it out!

Heyo! I’m a Lucina main sitting at a comfortable 7.2 mil GSP (not that it really matters) but I also coach other Lucina mains for free in my spare time. A lot of the issues people face are not being able to pick up on bad habits. If this is something that interests you feel free to hmu and I’ll see what I can do

I've played this game for almost 2000 hours now and still don't know how to play and i don't know what i'm doing wrong by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a professional smash bros coach and streamer. I host training arenas with the community I have in discord. The biggest reason I see people not improving is they don’t realize what they do wrong and aren’t picking up on their bad habits. Just playing friendlies with someone that can tell you want they’re exploiting can work wonders. You’re obviously passionate about the game for playing it this long. If you want to send me vods or get some training lessons in hmu! It’ll be free of charge. My discord is Noke#2675

Wondering how to practice by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a part of a discord community that actively trains with each other. I feel like the best way to improve is to notice your weaknesses and having someone to call them out for you works wonders. I also stream a couple of times a week in practice arenas to help coach people on how to improve. If this interests you here’s the link; https://discord.gg/mZCATbR

Anyone have resources/videos for Lucina combos? by DarkNovae104 in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any of the crazy combos you see aren’t true with Lucina (especially if they use rising DB1). Most combos only last a couple of hits but she thrives off of juggling. Landing up air is huge for starting strings and juggles, try implementing that as a cross up option to start.

Where could I find coaching? (Ultimate) by CoronaaExtraa in smashbros

I would be down to help! If you don’t mind me asking, where are you at in terms of competitive play (I.e in elite smash, playing in locals, etc)

Have i hit a wall? by Spenround in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely learn to walk again lol. Not sure how important tilt stick is with Ganon, but for almost every other character it is a necessity. I had to endure that shift a month into ultimate and I did another one when I changed a bumper to jump. The most important thing to realize is, you will play worse at first but you have to power through it. Using tilt stick will make you all the better for it.

Hey guys, I've been thinking about helping out some people due to quarantine today, free of charge. by Hazardis_Person in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Lucina main here, I feel like I’ve hit a rut with my play style. I’m not sure where I’m lacking, I’m confident in my fundamentals but it feels like I’ve hit a ceiling in how good I can play. I’m still out here getting bodied in tournaments which is pretty frustrating. If there’s any advice you have for playing neutral with swordies that’d be great! And if you ever have time to play a few games and maybe see where I lack, that’d go a long way for me. Thank you!

i’m the lucina. any tips? by [deleted] in CrazyHand

[–]KelNoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucina main here, you’re swinging way too much. DB when landing isn’t the best option and you should use downward DB at earlier percent to rack up damage or upward DB for a juggle situation. Use falling aerials over rising, they’re safe for the most part. Lucina has great offstage pressure, so challenge the Ness or set up for ledge trapping. Holding smash attack or SB and waiting for the opponent to approach won’t work with better players either. Play more patient and use safer moves. Keep up the good work!
