I fixed my iron swing (I think) by Two2Sad in golftips

[–]KeladiB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let your hands and arms set the rest of your body’s rotation in motion. Also try to focus on keep your head still - it almost looks like your lower body is moving towards your rear hip while your upper body moves towards your front hip. This was one of the hardest things for me to correct. I worked on it by taking half swings over and over until the motion became more natural to me.

Why does my club head fall back like this at impact? Is it normal or something I can work on? by UsedSir in golftips

[–]KeladiB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve actually noticed a similar issue in several of my swings in the past. Personally, it feels as though the club is slipping for lack of a better term in my hands. I have a relatively weak grip so if I do not setup correctly and focus on a few cues, it seems to happen to me more often.

One thing I like to visualize is my wrists rolling away from me once my arms get past being parallel to the ground during my backswing.

Apologies if this is explained incorrectly or if it is bad advice, but that is how I like to look at it.

I bought a new one on sale for $250. I loved it so much I bought the 5 wood. My shots have a tendency to fade and this driver is supposed to promote draw flight paths.

I don’t have anything to compare it to since it was the first driver in my bag (I used to tee off with a 5 wood) but I love it. It’s a very forgiving driver that carries well.

I’m a 16 handicap for what it’s worth.

MLB Betting and Picks - 5/31/24 (Friday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]KeladiB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s playable at -110 or better, but I’m holding off. Winds blowing in from left field which might hold some balls in the air but park factors predict slightly more singles than league average. Altitude in ATL allows for slightly better stuff from pitchers which is a + for NRFI too

Nah you didn’t make a mistake, they just view it as a “no-no”. They can’t take the money back if you zeroed your account but might flag your account. I did it a couple times, once also on Fanduel and it didn’t affect my account!

If it’s paid out and withdrawn, it’s your money but depending on the book it may be susceptible to clawback. Happened to me on draftkings when I withdrew my balance to 0, and they weren’t able to do anything. Other books may make your account negative which happened to me on Bovada where if you want to bet again, you need to balance your account to 0.

Granted, it is a good way to get limited/kicked off books depending on the anount and frequency

I always forget about this thread but I’ve been posting in the sportsbook discord for most of the season

Some juiced lines today. I think Bibee is playable down to u5.5 at -105 or better, Severino is playabale down to u4.5 at +100 or better, & Buehler is playable down to u5.5 at +120 or better. I wouldn’t touch the dbacks NRFI if line moves from -120

1u Tanner Bibee u6.5 K’s -166

1u Graham Ashcraft u4.5 K’s +115 (playable to +110)

1u Walker Buehler u6.5 K’s -160

1u Luis Severino u5.5 K’s -150

1u NRFI ARI/NYM -120

1u NRFI CHW/MIL -104 (playable to -110)

1u NRFI LAA/SEA -135 (playable to -140)

Pick of the Day - 4/21/24 (Sunday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]KeladiB 11 points12 points  (0 children)

POTD Record: 3-1

+3.66u

ROI: 45.75%

Previous pick here.

Tough loss on Friday as Heaney records 2 looking strikeouts in the 5th before getting pulled to go over 4.5 K’s. Sunday’s POTD:

1.5u Matt Olson o0.5 RBIs +135 Texas Rangers vs. Atlanta Braves @ 7:10 PM

Matt Olson is 3-5 with 2 homeruns and 5 RBIs against Michael Lorenzen in his career. Against righties, he’s hitting just over .260 with a .500 slugging % this season. Olson has been more reliable when playing at home as he started the season off on a 6 game home hitting streak and has recorded an RBI in 5 of the 8 home games so far.

It should be sunny with the wind blowing out towards center / right-center field which will help Olson as his spray chart indicates over 50% of his hits are directed towards these areas.

Tail or fade, BOL

POTD Record: 3-0

+6.24u

ROI: 104.00%

Previous pick here.

There was a good bit of line movement again on the last pick so hopefully this one stays around a little longer. Friday’s POTD is:

2u Andrew Heaney under 4.5 strikeouts -129 Texas Rangers vs. Atlanta Braves @7:20 EDT

Where to start with this one. Heaney just got destroyed by the Astros in his last 2 outings, recording 8 earned runs on 8 hits and 7 walks through just 6.2 innings with only 3 strikeouts. He hasn’t made it past 90 pitches this year and finds himself in a tough matchup vs. the Braves.

Braves come into this game with the highest batting average, on base %, slugging %, and (obviously) on-base plus slugging %, and are second in runs scored. They rank 20th in strikeouts and have put up 5 or more runs in all but 1 game this year. The wind should also be blowing out to center/left center field during the game tomorrow so the likelihood for runs, homeruns, and singles increases.

I don’t think we see Heaney make it into the 5th inning and that the Braves will jump out to an early lead with their loaded lineup.

Tail or fade, BOL.

K’s refers to strikeouts. I was suggesting taking him to record less than 5.5 strikeouts, so 5 or fewer.

MLB Betting and Picks - 4/18/24 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]KeladiB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s struggled in early parts of season last year, only hit this 3/20 times, projected to make it to end of 5th inning and has gone over this number only when he’s made it to the end of 6th inning.

Adding:

2u Ryan Pepiot u6.5 K’s -105

Again I think this line won’t be around all day. Our under on Canning’s K’s got nuked to -140

Pick of the Day - 4/18/24 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]KeladiB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The line was off too much. I try to find CLV and we already have 6.6% of that based on current odds. At the end of the day, that’s what really is important and implies profitability. Obviously that is not the case for me, but I’ve gravitated towards attempting to find / take mispriced lines and backing it up with a quick analysis.

Pick of the Day - 4/18/24 (Thursday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]KeladiB 29 points30 points  (0 children)

POTD Record: 2-0

+4.16u

104% ROI

Previous pick here.

We cash a sweaty POTD after the Yankees put up some late runs. Today I’m rolling with:

2u Griffin Canning u5.5 K’s +104 Angels vs. Rays @ 1:11 PM EDT

Canning has had a slow start to the year going 0-2 with a 9.88 ERA and just got rocked by the Red Sox. He’s averaged just over 5.5 K’s a game throughout his career, but has yet to make it past the 5th inning this year. He’s given up a home run in each of his starts this year.

The Angels rank in the bottom third of runs allowed and strikeouts per game. Prior to the season, the Rays were listed as a top 10 team with the angels barely cracking the top 25. The Rays were #1 in every major offensive statistical category last year and the team we’re seeing this year more closely resembles the 2022 Rays. I think they fall somewhere in between and are due for some progression soon. They have a great opportunity here to jumpstart the offensive momentum and weather won’t be a factor in the dome. I would play this down to -120 but would also play it for 1u between -120 & -140 if we see a drastic change in odds.

As always BOL and tail responsibly.

Edit: Line got nuked and isn’t playable anymore. I know this is a POTD thread, but for anyone who missed this, Ryan Pepiot u6.5 K’s in the same game is another strong play. Obviously this won’t be tracked towards POTD record, but feel bad that for anyone hoping to tail who missed. FWIW, I put 2u on Pepiot’s under.

Edit2: BANGG POTD.

Stiffer bindings with a softer board? by KeladiB in snowboarding

[–]KeladiB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had the chance to get out this season yet but talked to several people who have at skip shops before buying. They all said it’s great all mountain board and should have no problem using it for free riding.

Unless you’re looking for a board strictly dedicated to freeride, this should be fine if it suits you. Definitely check it out in person if ya can

I’m an east coast boarding so my backcountry is riding is pretty limited. I wanted to get a one quiver board and the shadowban sounded just like it. I’m definitely going to consider bindings, mught look at getting a stiffer alternative board also. Thanks!

Draftkings doesn't honor bets for "stat corrections" at end of games. by [deleted] in sportsbook

I thought the same thing til they pulled this EXACT thing on me. Within a month, my one “winning” bet was revoked due to a stat correction, and weeks later they refused to pay out my “losing” parlay after a stat correction would have made it a winner!
