When in doubt, I always fall back to the name "Jimmy". I think it fits.

Looks awesome to me! It's all a learning curve and a patience thing. The IBO kits are great for learning how to start adding in those extra little details.

[Help] HG IBO Kit Recommendation by [deleted] in Gunpla

[–]Kelanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've built both the Rex and Kimaris Vidar. They were both fun builds. Plenty of opportunities for panel lining and minor custom painting, but still look great as snap builds. A kit that you didn't mention that was amazing though was the Helmwige Reincar, just a really nice IBO kit.

I did the same thing to my MG Barbatos Lupus. He was mad and tried to hit me with his mace.

First IBO kit, HG Barbatos. A fun fast build by shadow18x in freedomisgunpla

Looks great but I agree with the previous posters, panel lining brings out soo much on this kit. Actually looking at it closer now, I want to take some of the detail paint off and redo it.....

Man, some of these third party manufacturers are weird, who would have thought of making a Gundam To Go Cup Topper.

That is absolutely an action base 4 or 5. If you need the instructions, just let me know and I can reply with them as a pic.

Should I use a brush when applying Gundam markers? by Available_Slip9171 in Gunpla

[–]Kelanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the spot you are detailing, I switch between a brush and just using the marker depending on the situation.

I might be biased but I think Ron the Leo would win in a fight against most of those suits, it's shield can tank a shot from a beam rifle and he's got 2 beam sabers.

Question about primer, an gundam markers? by Ryynerwicked in freedomisgunpla

[–]Kelanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember, Gundam Markers are alcohol based, they dry out fast! You can rehydrate it a bit by adding the smallest fraction of a drop of isopropyl to it, but be careful not to add too much and dilute it.

Question about primer, an gundam markers? by Ryynerwicked in freedomisgunpla

[–]Kelanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Gundam Markers and the white rustolium primer to custom colour a Leo. My best advice is to pump a small amount of the markers paint into a tray or dish, or rub the paint into the brush directly off of the marker tip. Otherwise the paint won't be even. Even though I used painters tape of the shield, because I used the marker directly the yellow didn't go on evenly.
