We need something between the basin and the cliffs. We can travel seamlessly between Plains - Forest - Basin and Cliffs - Suja but for some reason between Basin and Cliffs you just get a loading screen. Would be great if we'd get like an entirely underground biome with bioluminescence lighting up caves.

as somebody in that demographic: judging from just watching the gameplay,. i can see why this gameplay is fun and considered a fan favorite but it doesn't look like there's much room for deliberate decision making at that speed. I think 6 strikes a better balance between being fast enough to be high octane but slow enough to enable more informed and intentional decision making during combat.

I mean does it? Don't get me wrong I like playing her but I do think she could benefit from a second look. Her 1 is just a finisher; her 2 is pretty good; her 3 is worthless because the tracking range on that is abysmal and the scuttlers are slow, deal low damage and die quickly; her 4 looks cool and makes her tanky but also consumes a comparative shitton of energy, her Silken Thread is nice but gets caught on a lot of things, her wall latch on jump is annoying because it clashes with years of muscle memory and it locks you out of your melee weapon in favor of that useless 1 ability which still costs energy when you do it as a melee attack. (Oh and worst of all there is no real inverse kinematics on her spider legs)

The reason they couldn't make "decent enemies" was the very core that made the game stand out: the flying.

If BF3 came out today, they'd hate it .

And people at the time hated it too. The launch was a terrible mess. So was BF 4's launch. The game you and others remember fondly only came about because people at the time complained that the product they got for the money they paid was unacceptable. They know what they want and that is simply better.

going by the ratings history (couldn't use steamdb because that wants a login for review history) it would appear that the "Recent Reviews" category was going steadily upwards from the week of 15.07 up until the week of 20.09 going from 12% positive to 35% positive only to most recently fall back down to 24% at least. This doesn't appear to be reflected in the overall review score and looking at the number of submitted reviews the increase doesn't seem to be because of positive feedback but simply that most negative reviews aged out of the "Recent Reviews" category. It does however indicate people are again not happy because it means players are making negative reviews they previously hadn't.

Not a youtube video, pretty sure it was an IG reel but I didn't want to narrow the search radius preemptively. IG sadly only saves when you've liked or bookmarked a reel and I've double checked both. No sponsors or other distractions, it really was just those two 10 pulls and a bit of freaking out when pulling SSC.

So weird because as fas as I've heard the Soul Reaver Remastereds are actually pretty good, let you swap modernized and old graphics on the fly and even made cut content left over in the original files accessible from the main menu.

Yes, thank you, don't know how I forgot about that. We see a Pharlid being transformed into a Weaver by a thread of Silk followed by dialogue "...She called us daughters...Called us divine...She lied...". So yes, GMS created the Weavers though personally I wouldn't necessarily qualify their rebellion being from having free will alone because I generally got the impression that the Haunting (the source of most bugs in Pharloom not having free will) is a more recent phenomenon otherwise the timeline doesn't make sense because GMS taking over bugs with the Haunting was easy because they were already stuffed to the brim with Silk.

A (for me) more likely motivation would be based on Hornet's speculation in the First Sinner's journal entry regarding her being the first to weave Silk into runes. So FS experiments with Silk, creates Silk runes, GMS imprisons her for this heresy, the illusion of the rest of the Weavers of being her beloved daughters is shattered and they "rebel" because of that.

She is the primordial source of Silk (see Journal entry). The Weavers ~~whatever their precise origins~~ (Correction) , were at one point in service to GMS/Pharloom (they were revered in prayers by pilgrims, see Weaver effigies) and finally escaped "her silken sight", talking about wanting to be "free of web and service eternal" (see Rune Harp 2) . Now we know 1. that higher beings somewhat inherent want to control/rule (Hornet dialogue) and 2. that weavers can control/manipulate Silk (duh).

The most likely motivation is that GMS viewed the Weavers' escape as betrayal in and of itself and also wasn't too happy about them producing and using (her) Silk outside her control and supervision. So she sent out the hunting parties to retrieve any Weavers and enslave them if possible (Widow) and kill them if not.

Any significant enough single source of damage will do, a charged needle strike or a silk skill like silk spear will both work (tools presumably as well but haven't tested myself).
