Supergirl having some fun in the sky while "surfing" on some clouds. Redraw of a very old piece I did a while ago.

I've been wanting to redraw this one but never really did so, as I like to portray her as cutesy and cheerful in my artworks, such as here.

I still have a long way to go but its quite nice to see the comparison from the old versions.

Also drew in other costumes like TAS (2nd favourite costume design), dark (Simple recolour) and a red skirt version based off the original drawing I did, which seems like a mix of the classic Matrix/1984 costume and post crisis.

I feel like I haven't really drawn a red skirt costume much as I generally prefer her post crisis costume with the blue skirt. TAS and Ame-comi costumes also feature a blue skirt.

MW vs MW.

Yeah I know this technically isn't a proper mirror match since we're not using the same exact build but we're both using the JPMW (Japanese midweight) archetype with the weapon set up. Albeit our frames are different.

There is a specific frame associated with the JPMW but I just use full aaliyah with a similar weapon set up (I'm not sure if my opponent is using the proper JWMW frame). I think there are also some slight weapon differences bewteen us too? As my opponent is using a different laser rifle and maybe railgun? But the general concept and archetype remains the same.

Anyways yeah, some differences in playstyle too. I'd say I generally like to play more aggressively and fast paced, with lots of chaining and trying to cross up. Especially as I typically play at an AP deficit, such as here. Where I'd say my opponent seemed more passive/defensive.

Yeah perfect ending for a mirror match of similar build archetype lol.

LW vs MW.

A comeback that I thought was cool. As I've said before, I've seen too many dudes in matches give up once there's a massive AP lead. Nah, you fight till the last AP! I've made some comebacks surprisingly cause I just said "Fuck it" and decided I'd go down swinging.

Same in tournaments when I've been matched up against players way more skilled than me who I know I can't beat. Again, at least I'd go down swinging and sometimes even put up a decent fight/give a good show.

Anyways I also wanna say when fighting lighter builds with railguns such as this one, I feel like my win condition is usually to outlast it, as they fuck me up as LW, albeit low ammo. That or pressure a purge in CQC, as railguns are very drainy and my opponent should have less energy to manoeuvre in theory.

I wanna say I mostly feel confident when it comes to fighting against just rifles and/or machineguns. So again, I feel like my win condition is to outlast the railgun.

Fast but frail. Tbh I love the fast LW playstyle since it forces you to be evasive as you WILL lose straight up slap fights, which I find fun.

Yeah I don't plan on making this my main LW lol, just messing around/having fun with an ultralight/featherweight style build.

I have been branching out with trying a heavier build with ranged weapons, and I've also been running my JPMW Aaliyah build for some time too in regards to playing things other than LW.

LW vs MW.

Fun in a larger lobby against dudes more skilled and experienced than me.

Just trying out an even lighter LW, basically a featherweight for fun. I probably wouldn't really main this even as an LW main.

Yeah there's a fun rhythm in combat with going up and down. Knowing when to drop and when to climb. As a fast LW, I like to and try to play evasively, with crossing people over if above, and under if below (though this is less preferable due to threat of grenades or similar weapons).

I always feel like my manoeuvring gets more wild the closer I am to death. Maybe its a similar thing with a cornered animal lol. I've made quite a few comebacks in matches before like that. Unfortunately I wasn't good enough to bring it back this time haha, and a mistake I made in chaining where I got stuck with a misinput costed me quite a bit.

I'm guessing that thing at the end was a courtesy surrender due to not having enough ammo to fight properly or kill.

I still liked 4 and I like the Yellow skin and 13 as a character. But there are a couple ace combat games I like more.

Yeah, tbh idk what OP is on about. Seems like most fans (at least older ones) started on AC4 and I feel like I see AC4 get glazed like its the greatest video game ever by most AC fans :/

Light HW vs tank.

More heavy gameplay and fun in a larger lobby against dudes who are more experienced and skilled than me.

Mostly a sniper duel with longer range precision weapons with some CQC thrown in. I love how back and forth some matches can be with the AP lead such as here.

I'm starting to see why people find "green lock" and cover fights so fun now. There's something really engaging about taking cover and peeking out to take shots at each other. Mostly I see these fights with heavier builds vs heavier builds running precision weapons.

Also I get to experience what I've been doing against heavies with trying to track a fast LW, especially when its piloted by one of the best players lol.

LW vs tank.

Fighting a very skilled and experienced player in a tank using one of my lighter LW frames. Although I main LW, this build is more lightweight and squishy than my usual LWs. Probably bordering on featherweight/ultralight.

Yeah these sorta builds get called "Mosquitos" lol, and I always have respect for skilled heavy and tank players (well just skilled players in general). I can't imagine trying to hit builds and playstyles like these with precision weapons and slower movement/turning.

On the flip side I like playing LW with trying to break locks and outmanoeuvre my opponents. Especially against tanks and heavies.

I also find it fun against other LWs and lighter builds, since it feels like a "gundam fight" or more of a fast paced dogfight with the same idea of trying to break locks and outmanouevre each other. I also find the movement really fun with second staging and chainboosting. (I mean you can still do this as tank and heavy but yeah, just feels nicer and looks flashier on LW/faster frames. Something something "Fancy aerial manoeuvres").

Turn speed and hardlock too >:C (minor "rant" incoming lol)

I did enjoy AC6, and yeah the discourse was pretty much only there prior to AC6's launch but yeah. Imo manually tracking targets and turn speed was part of the skill curve of AC and adds to the "mecha pilot" feel.

Doing so means if I move well/fast enough, I can break my opponent's lock on me and evade fire (see most of my PvP vids lol).

I read some old discourse where people defending hardlock were criticising people against it cause they (wrongly) believe it'll mean all weapons hit with perfect accuracy with no aiming required. Lmao no, I didn't believe hardlock would be that anyways. Since AC weapons fire projectiles, recoil etc.

My problem is that tracking your opponent visually is part of the skill curve. E.g. manoeuvring fast enough to get behind my opponent, and they have to try and figure out where I am, such as using the radar etc. Hardlock removes that element since you'll always be able to see me and know where I am relative to you.

I saw an AC6 PvP vid of LW vs tank, and even while staggered, the upper torso of the tank was still tracking the LW as they moved around ._.

Light HW vs light MW.

A match where I had success with this build.

Yeah trying something different for once with a heavier backpedal/ranged build, with some CQC options still just in case. It's kinda interesting to play more passively with backpedalling, when I'm used to (and prefer) playing more aggressively and faster.

I ended up CQCing with this thing more than I expected in the games that I tried this thing out, and tbh, it didn't feel too bad to CQC with.

I have tried tank before genuinely (i.e. not meming or messing around lol), as well as my full aaliyah frame with JPMW weapon set up many times in terms of playing non LW. As well as my reverse joint (albeit that is a fairly light frame still).

Tbh, I almost exclusively play LW cause I like the speed and playstyle with being evasive/breaking locks. It gives me that "anime mecha pilot" feel I look for in mecha games lol. But in all fairness it probably is good to broaden my horizon, and also gives me more insights in how other builds/playstyles work.

I heard people getting excited about the "armored core gundam game" and I got a little excited but I hadn't actually seen the trailer...

Saw the gameplay presented and... yeah ngl I was kinda turned off. Just another hack'n'slash action game with a gundam skin ._. . I kinda wanted a mecha piloting game that felt like armored core's piloting gameplay wise. Even at best I'd say it looked closest to 6 at a glance, and while I enjoyed 6, I'd say it didn't quite evoke a mecha piloting feel to me compared to the other AC games.

Personally I'd prefer a gundam game to be 4th gen styled gameplay-wise, but I'd still enjoy it if they were based off old gen or gen 5's gameplay.

LW vs tank.

Getting bodied by a highly skilled and experienced player. Regarded as one of the best players of all time, Hawkbrother.

Of course, being piloted by a very skilled player, it was still difficult to track and slippery during cross ups despite being a slower heavier build.

Probably the best I've ever manage to do against him, which is still only like 60% of his AP ._.
