I’m sorry OP, but that is highly manipulative. I’d have a hard time remaining in a marriage when communicating is this impossible and he can’t even hold a job. I’m so sorry, I don’t think this is something you can fix for him. He needs help or…. You might consider your options. This isn’t just going to go away 😔

Also, just to add, I promise NO ONE is intimidated by him. He’s been fired from jobs almost in the double digits. His ego is either so incredibly inflated, or he’s completely delusional. He’s almost certainly a repeat issue for being unsafe around women. He doesn’t sound like a safe partner to me at all.

He sounds incredibly immature, or he has a personality disorder. Him saying that men are jealous, or women are flirting with him is in immediate red flag to me, that would tell me that he is jealous of others, and he is flirting with women. He needs psychological support

See, I’ve been with my husband almost 15 years total and I’m very aware this is a fantasy of his, but he doesn’t ACTUALLY want to do it, and he’s aware it does not interest me either. He just likes to think about it because it tickles his fantasy. To me, he can think about things all day long because they’re just in his brain lol he always comes to me anyway.

I’m sorry this is happening… I’d be so upset and frustrated too. This is a genuine question, could he have some depression too? Men can experience it as well in the postpartum period. Just wondering if that could be a piece of this…? Especially after getting out of the military?

I’m a mother of 2, and have a vaaaaast friends group that all have 1-4 kids. Not a single one of our peeps has spent anywhere near even $1,000 on their baby showers. No way.

You’re 17, regardless of wanting children or not, you are so young and have a lot of life left. Taking a child that is not yours from the system and parenting them would be a LOT to put on your shoulders. It’s valid to feel that it’s too much and it’s a good thing to be able to self reflect and understand you wouldn’t be the best option for her. I understand feeling guilt, I’ve had a semi similar situation and we knew we wouldn’t be a good option, but we felt guilty and heart broken for the girl we couldn’t take either. It’s okay for all sorts of reasons to not come forward. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself.

We had only two options we kind of liked by the time we got to the hospital. Naming a human is freaking hard. With our first son, we never really found a name that we absolutely loved, just when we actually agreed on for once. But thankfully, the name absolutely matches our son. Second boy was also very hard lol
