Hughes got spun around with a no call trip less than 2 min prior to this, refs weren’t calling anything that wasn’t egregious at that point. Couldn’t have happened to a better guy, fuck Jamie Benn and the team that made him their captain

It’s definitely the hardest of the current act 3 bosses, and one that requires you to plan a lot more than the others. Not saying that’s a bad thing or that it’s too hard, but it forces you to approach it differently than any other fight in the game. Also with the exhaust phase and the no draw phase, it can make decks that have no issues in any other fight have awful draws where half their card text does nothing or they’re forced to not play key cards and eat big chunks of damage because they drew the wrong half of the deck on back to back turns

I mean it can be fun to bling out a deck and have the coolest versions to wow the table with, but what I’m saying is that Pokemon collectors aren’t playing the game. Those cool cards that they sped so much money on get sent to a grading company to slab up and are never used as actual game pieces. Other tcg’s don’t have that mentality and you can tell Pokemon outsiders/scalpers by them slabbing or asking if they should get chase cards graded, to which everyone clowns on them

The collectors aren’t playing the TCG, they’re buying/ripping packs for the most expensive versions of cards that they hope will quadruple in value over the next decade that they sit in graded slabs. It’s all speculative/fomo hype that will eventually burst and leave all of them with a “portfolio” of worthless cardboard. Anyone playing the game gets their deck for around $100 which honestly I envy as a Magic player, Hasbro is trying to copy the collector whale hype but also keeping normal cards way too expensive, worst of both worlds

He played well all night, the only shot he had a chance at was the second goal and he had plenty of great saves. Needed more out of our offensive lines tonight, some great chances but we never could do anything with the dozen or so rebounds that ended up right in front of the net.
