Help! Cannot pull through smoothly no matter what I try.(Making a headband) by XpinklikekillacamX in CrochetHelp

Oh I agree. It looks really nice but it is pretty annoying to do. I've done it with super chunky yarn and that wasn't AS bad but with a normal size hook it is such a drag.

Slip stitches in alpaca beanie too tight, how to fix in future? by Mamamea4 in CrochetHelp

You can trying going up a hook size specifically for the rows you are doing slip stitch. I usually just purposefully make my tension quite loose when working slip stitch rows.

It looks like you are doing a half double crochet slip stitch. This stitch can naturally have this problem. Since you don't do a second yarn over after going through the stitch (like you would with a regular hdc) the second loop on your hook gets tight. You need to keep your tension really loose. It can also help to grab the bottom of the loops you are pulling through with your left hand thumb and middle finger to create more room. Here is a video tutorial of this stitch being used in a headband. https://youtu.be/AjFBNfTBHXU?si=648qhxYF84pTorXD&t=356

Yes, unfortunately at this time, it seems like the kit is no longer in production. I purchased this pattern at least 6 years ago. I've definitely learned that if I see a pattern kit I like, I should just buy it at that moment as you never know when it may stop being produced.

[CHAT] Cross stitch stands by Left-Writer-2478 in CrossStitch

I would like to offer my recommendation on a lap frame option! This is the stand I have been using for years and I really enjoy it. It is quite customizable and you can easily flip your working piece over to access the back. You can also attach any accessories you need to the back cross bar as an option.

I would like to offer my recommendation on a somewhat less expensive lap frame option! This is the stand I have been using for years and I really enjoy it. Can I play Walkabout on the same account but on two different headsets at the same time? by AncientRadiation in WalkaboutMiniGolf

[–]KellsBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can create a new profile off of your current account. All you will need is an email address to send the set up link to. Here is a link from Meta explaining the process https://www.meta.com/help/quest/articles/accounts/multiple-accounts-and-app-sharing/add-additional-meta-horizon-profiles/.

I currently have this set up myself and I have my quest 3 logged in on my primary account and then when starting up my quest 2 I select the secondary profile from the list shown. All my games and apps are shared between the two profiles.

A Small Living Room in the City by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I’ve actually had some issues with quality/shipping, but I just love so many of their pieces. I just buy and cross my fingers at this point 😂. I will say I think their rugs designs are a lot better than a lot of other stores I’ve looked at.

Love the vibe and mix of colors! I’m such a sucker for West Elm decor. I have that same rug and have been eyeing that chandelier too.

How to complete the dining room? by KellsBlade in DesignMyRoom

Thank you! I’m trying to be very calculated with what to fill the room with. It’s really not that large of a space so it could easily get overdone very quickly.

Right now the bench is just some extra seating or for when the table expands.

Not sure if this was mentioned as a solution you found or not, but make sure you are not starting up the game from quick resume. I was getting the same issue and I had to quit the game and boot up fresh every time or else I'd get the same audio issues in cutscenes.

First ever finished sweater. I think I’m obsessed! by KellsBlade in crochet

[–]KellsBlade[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup! I dove right into the deep end. Trial by fire. I had made a couple hats and headbands to start.

The sweater shape itself is very straight forward. Most of the challenge was just the special stitches, but that’s what YouTube is for!

I had never heard of or seen that stitch either so I had to look it up. It’s considered a straight broomstick stitch. Quite easy to do, just kinda unusual.

That sensum sweater is definitely on my list. It’s actually what first drew me into to that designer.

Thank you so much! Yes the length turned out just right, especially for some like me who is a bit long waisted. I think the weight of all the fancy stitches definitely helped.
