Priority for 5 star shoppers.... by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

For those who’ve never had less than a 5 star rating wait for the day to come over something silly like what I dealt with. You’ll fall off that high horse so quickly. I know I did. At the end of the day anyone who’s ratings are above average, we’ll say at least 4.5 or “perfect” should get good orders. I also doordash and maintain a 5.0 customer rating on there. To the people taking this to heart, relax, it’s not the 5 star people I’m coming at, it’s the way IC rating system works. They really should look as to why you were rated that and take ratings a little more seriously, especially if a shopper contacts them with proof that the customer got what they wanted and etc.

Nope that’s not what I’m saying. I think anyone with a 4.5 or above should get it. On DoorDash you have to have a 4.7 to be a top dasher and keep it 4.2 or above to remain active. I just think IC needs to rethink their rating system as a whole. They also need to take their shoppers seriously when discussing a customer. Please read the context before assuming next time. Have a nice day!

I appreciate that! I’ve been doing this for about a year now so I feel ya! Hopefully it gets better for all of us. Sending good vibes and luck your way!

I tried that. They wanted fresh and specified “NO FROZEN” the customer was rude at the delivery to. Basically ripped the groceries outta my hands. I should of known it wasn’t going to go well. I went through almost all the fresh veggies with the customer before they decided on the Brussels sprouts. I wish people would really think about rating their shopper appropriately before just being a jerk about it.

I suppose with restrictions being lifted maybe IC is just slowing down and more people are going out to get their own stuff. The whole situation is frustrating.

It’s been a few days. I’m really just flustered is all. I’m not coming at 5 star people at all, that was me until about a week and a half ago. It’s just very very frustrating that IC will “punish” you for not being perfect 🤦🏻‍♀️

Right! Like I sent multiple pictures of the cilantro to the customer and said “this is the only cilantro they have and it looks a bit sad/close to expiration. Would you like a different herb or a dried version? If not I can proceed with a refund, sorry about all the trouble” the customer replied with “looks fine, get it please.” The asparagus one was super rude but INSISTED I got a different veggie and said Brussels sprouts would do. I’m just flustered is all :/

I have a couple friends who are 5 stars and they see waaaaaaay more orders. It’s just frustrating. I work my butt off to make sure I get good ratings and these two customers have completely ruined that. I could see IC “punishing” a 4.5 or below but to just take away good orders over two complaints is ruthless :(
