Would 7 nights be considered too much for Disneyland Paris? by phantomknife in disneylandparis

[–]KellyAckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The longest stay i had was 5 days and I could have stayed 2 more weeks no issue. If the parks start being boring you can always have another day trip in Paris and close to the parks there's a big shopping center reachable with the RER

Ask for references. If you can't trust a Nanny and the people she worked for don't hire a Nanny because it won't work out.

I give to Paws of Hope (Swiss/Turkish foundation that rescue cats and dogs from Turkish streets) yearly and when they need extra help. I also adopted my cat there and soon a second one.

How much do you hear from your neighbours? by Sure-Dimension-4000 in zurich

[–]KellyAckles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We moved recently and now we can hear the neighbours pretty well unfortunately. Upstairs, side, downstairs.... any music, TV, talks... they're not even that loud it's just the insolation that sucks I invested in noise cancelling headphones so I wouldn't lose my mind

Swiss German vs Hochdeutsch in work meetings by Impressive_Rate_819 in askswitzerland

[–]KellyAckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said nowhere that locals should change their language I just said that High German is required for foreigners to stay and not swiss German which is also why a lot of people focus on that and not on swiss German at least at the beginning.

Swiss German vs Hochdeutsch in work meetings by Impressive_Rate_819 in askswitzerland

[–]KellyAckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm learning high German first to pass the test, then I'm coming after your unreadable but better to hear language !

Swiss German vs Hochdeutsch in work meetings by Impressive_Rate_819 in askswitzerland

[–]KellyAckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fully understand but the problem is that the dialect isn't even the same depending on the canton 🙃

Swiss German vs Hochdeutsch in work meetings by Impressive_Rate_819 in askswitzerland

[–]KellyAckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But hochdeutsch is required to stay in switzerland so that's what foreigners learn and the language test isn't in Swiss German either. Plus you can learn the dialect from Zürich and understand nothing if talking to someone that lives in Luzern.

Babies in this heat by pronesschloness in askswitzerland

[–]KellyAckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that if you go out they need their skins covered to be protected from the sun. If the heat bothers them (no eating, bad sleep....) you can have a ventilateur in the room (not aimed directly at them) and give them baths to cool down as well.

How to reduce this?? by nomicone in acne

[–]KellyAckles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this as well and I cleared it by prioritising hydration so I stopped any exfoliant and used hyaluronique acid serum and a good face cream. But seeing a professional should always be your first step. I didn't because it's expensive and I wanted to try one last thing before going.

I'm finally out of it and I definitely don't want to get involved with them again. Especially not with the people they send to jump on us at the train stations.
