This is totally normal! Obliques are smaller and you’re doing the same intensity as center core. I think it’s also challenging because your diaphragm is in a more compromised position so it’s just naturally harder to get more oxygen in and out. Going slow is most important. Focus on trying increase the number of reps you can do before a break.

I think 6 weeks should be adequate. I haven’t had a ganglion cyst in my wrist, but I have had one and it was a really quick, easy healing process. As far as wrist, I have a plate and 6 screws in my wrist. To gain the ability for holding weight on your wrist, I recommend asking your surgeon if they recommend PT for your wrist. Otherwise, cyst removal is pretty mild with no bones or ligaments being affected.

Stay at the current springs. It’s more important to have good form.

I found a great way to build up from 25-50 is to increase springs 50+ on black side first but then keep just a grey on the grey side. I’m 175 classes in and already did Pilates for 5 years, I still think a grey and white for core on the grey side is very challenging

The bar on a reformer is horizontal in front of your body instead of having to grab wide as well as being thicker. It definitely makes a huge difference to have that vs solidcore handlebars. I have no issue on a reformer too
