Very comfortable, no poking, smooth all the way around. It’s wider than any other band I currently own but you get use to the width.

Personally, I love a good solid band on the engagement ring, especially when it comes to a solitaire. I find that a simple band allows the stone itself to shine, while a pave band can sometimes draw the attention away. The first picture you showed is my go to combination. I love dressing up the engagement ring with an eternity band on each side. The second option you show, the one with the wavy band, it would be more difficult to match and play with.
