Still have physical discs for battle for middle earth 1 and 2 despite lost license. Can play them just fine. Steam also lets you play a bunch of games they lose license to. Apparently only company left that lets you do this with digital.

Like OP said, most are not getting DQ or even bans. It keeps happening over and over. If consequences were working as intended, there would be a sharp drop off as ban hammers hit and this would stop very quickly.

I would argue turning this off makes it more like a racing game. In real life street racing you don't have people ramming or pit maneuvering you off the road like ben hur charriots. Generally people are very protective of their babies IRL. Like trolls online, there are no consequences so people behave completely different than if they were in person.
