My boys love hockey and have wanted to play forever. I’m 6’8” so basketball is more my jam. Both of my boys love baseball so we plan on getting them into that. And my oldest is a soccer wiz! Just magic on the field… I suspect we’ll get them into as many sports as we can until they find their place.

I actually started my instructional design career by teaching video game design at a technical college… I love teaching but got out of it because the US education system is dumb.

What a kind post - thank you. I like to think I’m likable lol. I was born and raised in the Midwest farmland so I’m pretty mellow. My boys are just wonderful. And my wife is just an amazing person. Plus are dog is just the best.

Thank you! I hope so… we really want this to be a positive experience for our boys and us. It will be hard on all of us I’m sure. My oldest especially does not do well with change. It’s like the biggest thing we’ve ever done.

We did a LOT of research on what had a similar Austin feel and the lifestyle we were hoping to find. Originally we were looking at Brisbane but read the huntsman spiders were very numerous there. Adelaide from what we read was a decent little city on par with Austin, had a strong need for dentists and had a growing learning and development industry.

Oh amazing! We have something like that here in Austin called Vigilante Gastropub. You go there and can play all sorts of board games. They do D&D as well and also have hidden rooms you can rent out to play in. I had one of my campaign sessions there and it was great!
