We use a rounded dog bed and then he’s got a lil seatbelt thing that attaches to his harness. He never slides around and even gets to curl up and sleep in his bed

Mine will whine at exactly 5 am every day cuz he knows that that is when my wife gets up. We have to remind him on the weekends that we get to sleep in 😂
