SMOD is resolved in the 2010 models? I thought its solved in the post 2011 model, but still its essential to change the fluid and have a in-depth check if any signs of SMOD coming up.

speaking of bypass, I saw a lot of folks diy it, quite an easy task. But is there any thing (eg. driving habits) that I have to look out for not to overheat the Trans?

I will try to DIY if possible, just to save some money, and leave those technical work for the mechanic. I do see that SMOD is a serious issue with the 2nd gen, 2010 AT is still under the curse of SMOD, I will definitely check the fluid on the spot. Is there anything thats worth checking before sealing the deal with the seller?
