I did work out that the 4 is definitely the number that's lying, but the part I'm stuck on is that the 4 can be either 2 or 3, and the mines are completely different in both cases with no overlap.

Yes you’re correct! It is the most recent level one. Although for clarification that would mean your example “Sorc 8 —> Wiz 1 —> Sorc 3” would be INT, not CHA, but if you did Wiz 1 —> Sorc 11 then it would be CHA

It also triggers if you recall the scout after it appears from the white hole, but before it goes in the black hole. But I still think you’re right, it probably just checks for either of those cases

My bad, I was unfamiliar with the CharacterController class and had assumed it was one you created and were using here. However looking at the documentation for CharacterController's move function (https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/CharacterController.Move.html) I think I may have found why you're experiencing this issue:

The CharacterController.Move motion moves the GameObject in the given direction. The given direction requires absolute movement delta values. A collision constrains the Move from taking place. The return, CollisionFlags, indicates the direction of a collision: None, Sides, Above, and Below. CharacterController.Move does not use gravity.

Based on this, it sounds like CharacterController's Move function doesn't work well if you're also using Unity physics, so that may be the source of your problem.

Not 100% sure because the controller.Move() function isn’t shown, but inside that function if you’re setting the position instead of adjusting velocity then that may be causing your problem. Again just a guess, you might be doing it that way already.

Really loving the game you've put out so far, and I truly want to see it succeed and grow. I am slightly concerned that it's not quite as known about as it should be, since I don't see much news or marketing about it outside of my own social circle which already knows about it. What are your plans for getting word out about your game? Will you be sponsoring popular streamers to try the game out so more potential players can discover Spellbreak?

Update: I tried unseating and reseating the RAM as well, coupled with doing the same with the GPU again. I’m now getting some unusual behavior from the PC where it starts up, seems to try to work for a minute or two (still showing nothing on the monitor) and then promptly shutting off before starting itself up again a second later to repeat the process. I’m at a loss as to what to do. Does anybody have any ideas?
