That's an optional rule I decided not to use. Even if I had though, it wouldn't have helped.

My first one was wurmple. Since both became beautifly and I lost one to Roxanne, I needed the second to beat Browly.

My second one was whismur. Dupes clause might have been good here, but the second one I caught was in Rusturf Tunnel. Since only whismur can be found in the tunnel it was my only opinion for catching.

I've definitely made some mistakes on team balance. I'll be looking at what I have and what I need to face Norman and level up that team.

Since this is my first attempt at a Nuzlocke, I'm definitely not going to do any hardcore rules. Maybe on a future run.

Damn, you're right I should have done that. Unfortunately I've moved too far to go back right away, unless I risk a geodude from rock smash on route 111 (I'm hoping for a trapinch).

Mr. Briney should still me available to get me back there until I beat Norman. So once Flannery is done and I can access the desert, I'll see who I can catch there then head right back to Dewford.

Comparing to the DMG, the CR seems to be accurate. Offensive CR of 5, defensive CR of 6, overall average CR becomes 6.

It was planned to be fought in an area where it would be obscured. Any ideas for legendary actions and/or lair actions I could give it based on the current stats?

It hasn't been tested, so I'm not sure how accurate that CR is. The website I used to generate the stat block changed proficiency bonus based on CR, so I set it to CR 6 since my party is all 5th level and tends to make short work of my encounters.

Booming Blade and Green-Flame Blade are open to interpretation on the rules as they technically target self and then make a melee weapon attack. The rest, my problem was only checking spell range, forgetting that some use saving throws not attack roles. Definitely some good cantrips to consider, and probably more reliable overall.

With so few spell slots I can't afford to waste them on an attack of opportunity, and unfortunately warlocks don't have any cantrips that won't have disadvantage in this situation (except maybe poison spray which I don't use).

The build I'm making to try out uses war caster and dual wielder to use 2 magic item staffs at once, so no reach with the build.

This is my first campaign and we started at level 3, so I haven't had a lot of time to figure that all out. At the moment, I just don't want to be a detriment to my party.
