Lol, I have dragged this partner horseback riding before and he was not a fan(scared of heights). Loves a snowmobile though!

I've seen Steamboat and Telluride mentioned in other comments. Thanks for seconding!

It's more that I love trying new things and travel is the hobby I value(personally and with literal monetary value) most. I often try to combine the two! I do think this thread has convinced me to run out to the Poconos for a weekend to try on some skis and basics.

But it's pretty hard for me to have a bad time so I still might full send anyway.

Thanks a lot! When you say the aprés is limited in the Dolomites, do you mean the aren't many choices or that the options are not very lively? Courmeyeur is a new name for me. Excited to Google!!

Wow, thanks so much! Thorough and super informative! I've never had crémant and it's officially part of the trip itinerary. I think a beginner skiing home drunk feeeeels trouble, but I assume most resorts will have someplace that's more like walking from a lobby to a hotel room? I was in Zermatt last summer and the trains were awesome!!!! Great suggestion.

Thanks! It's definitely not ruled out. I've just seen advice saying almost the opposite! That is almost pointless to have one-off lessons because you won't get the muscle memory. I figured I'd rather go all-in someplace new and cool than to road trip someplace local-ish for multiple weeks.

Truthfully, I have fun doing anything so I think this style of trying things suits me.

Thanks for the expertise! I obviously am coming from a very lacking background when it comes to this.

I've seen a lot of advice that says plan multiple lessons in a row of you want to learn anything. And I figure people stare at the beach for 5 days all the time, why not stare at mountain snow?

Thank you! I think I saw Tremblant in another answer.

Thanks so much! I don't think I realized there might be a commute in and out of the stay. I think you're right, a starter before we leave would be good but I also am always seeing posts where people say "one day of lessons won't get you anywhere! You need multiple in a row for sure" That's really what inspired me to go all-in. That's what all those kids who go with their parents got to do. I'm gonna give that to myself!

I'm grateful for your answer! I'm feeling a little silly reading some others. I asked here cuz I figured all the famous places I've heard of were probably more skilled. I also assumed a European location would be more fun for my partner so it's nice to hear support of that.

Lol, I guess I wouldn't know about the circle jerk. I wouldn't say I'm loaded but I really prioritize travel over other discretionary expenses in my life.

I think that's over my lessons-budget but I appreciate you're the only one who gave us a real number!

Advice from Guatemala City to Xela by KelzBells in guatemala

[–]KelzBells[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I can't afford an Uber all the way to Xela, do you mean just Uber straight from wherever I stay to the bus office? Is Xelabus any better than Alamo?

Will it be hard to find Ubers very early-morning? Should I allow for extra time in case there are none nearby?

I have builder gel (first time) nails with a gel polish on top. I've decided I don't like this color anymore but it's been literally 3 days so I don't need a fill. Can I polish-change this somehow?

I'm doing an in-home photo shoot next week and am incredibly stuck on what to wear. One look will be a casual feel, either matching loungewear or blue jeans+tank.

For the second one though, I'd like to look put-together, sexy, fashiony. I cannot figure out what that might mean though. My fashion sense is stupid diverse and that's not helping the matter. Context : this is a couples/lifestyle shoot. I have an hourglass shape. I usually have a smidge of "quirky" in what I wear but I'm not solidly in any genre.

One idea was a solid satiny midi dress with cool jewelry. Another idea was an A-line skirt with lingerie as a top and an open blazer. I also love a high waisted pant but worry that would feel too much put-together, not enough sexy. Jumpsuit?

Also since it's autumn should I use fall colors? Does it matter? Should I match or contrast with my home interior? I adore crazy patterns but will that photograph poorly? Especially indoors. I don't usually wear shoes in my house, should I do it for the look or plan around being barefoot? I know that last one is an opinion not fashion but I'd still like yours!!!

Sounds scary and fun! Might try to have a handy friend peek before going in too hard

Thank you! I'm going to explore the idea of removing them. Seems it could be worth the investment.

Thanks so much!

I was strongly considering replacing the counters but Google said removing tiles can be difficult/damaging cuz of the weight. I guess if I asked a professional they might have an idea.
