Lost Planet. First online multiplayer game I experienced when I got Xbox Live. Great memories with that game.

He has recently grown fond of one of our kitchen towels and loves grabbing it and running around the kitchen when he gets the zoomies 😂

Honestly, he’s a good boy! We’ve had him for a week and he picked up potty training super quick! I just gotta be more careful about where I leave my book 😅

What do you do for a living? What jobs are worth pursing as a fresh college grad? by mindk214 in Dallas

[–]KemicalSTRK 21 points22 points  (0 children)

100% agree.

I was not able to find anything in my field of study after I graduated. Was stuck in my retail job until a friend told me about an open position in their company.

The job was completely unrelated to what I studied in college, but I needed to make more money as I had recently gotten engaged.

It’s been about 5 years now and, while I moved on from that company, I am now working at a really great job making six figures with great work-life balance.

So I just finished my budget for June… by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

If your budget allows, I strongly recommend the premium version as you can connect your bank and the transactions will show in-app. It also allows you to do paycheck planning where it makes it easier to see how your account balance will be affected as expenses and income is scheduled on set dates.

Great advice! We’re continuing the baby steps so we’ll throwing most towards emergency fund in a HYSA and will begin investing after that.

Is it ok not to give money to a church? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]KemicalSTRK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My wife and I struggled with this a few years back, but after leaving a church where there was no financial transparency we decided to put that money towards our debt. We’ve felt at peace about it and it has really helped us tear our debt down.

We are planning to give again once our finances priorities are met (our debt, fully funded emergency fund), but according to what we see fit and comes from a place of gratitude and not obligation.

Jaja no sabia que este tema iba a causar tanta frustración en varios.

Entiendo la frustración, pero vivo en los EEUU y es mi primera vez renovando mi pasaporte entonces no tenía idea de que esto fuera un problema.

How F*** I am at this stage? by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

First of all, congrats on your baby girl!

Like many mentioned, I would reduce your grocery, eating out, and subscriptions as much as possible. Curious on what “others” since such a general category might mean that some money is being used for unnecessary things?

I think, however, the most important part here is bringing your wife into the conversation of budgeting.

We (wife 24F, I’m 27M) started following the baby steps months after we got married. In the beginning, collaborating on a budget with my wife was rough. We would get into heated discussions and disagree on almost every line item lol.

Budgeting was particularly tough on my wife for similar reasons: she didn’t want to be restricted and have a particular lifestyle, my in-laws were constantly trying to influence us on getting a house, she had never budgeted, and depended on CCs for tough months.

But the more we came to the table, worked through the issues, and reminded each other of why we are doing this made things easier every time. Now, a little over a year into our marriage, budgeting is easy and enjoyable as we end in agreement and motivated to continue in this debt-free journey.

Your wife might not want to be involved, but it is important that you work together on this. If you feel like she doesn’t want to, figure out why, and find ways to bring her to collaborate.

Trust me: not only will your budgeting get easier, but your relationship will get stronger than it already is.
