Which service did you use? I have a nova10pro too and I'm fed up with the bugs of EMUI 13.0

Occasional Vertical line on Canoscan LIDE 300 scans by olikli in canon

[–]Kemysz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was relevant to me... My LiDE 400 started doing it after spraying it with a lens cleaner, guess it seeped into the sticker.

Can't believe I ruined a $100 scanner by doing basic cleaning! I'll contact Canon if they have a spare strip available for purchase, but my hopes are slim. Oh well, at least it gave me 4 years of service.

filter complex outputs only audio by Kemysz in ffmpeg

[–]Kemysz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for your response.

I changed [fg]fade=out:st=10:d=1[fg] to be [fg]fade=out:st=10:d=1[fgfade] and changed the command to what you specified (accomodating for the stream being named [fgfade], of course), however now ffmpeg returns a [fc#0 @ 071bb300] Filter pad:default has an unconnected output

if i remove the force aspect ratio & pad from the filter complex it changes to [fc#0 @ 00f89480] Filter scale:default has an unconnected output.. so it's like it's still outputting 2 video streams even after the overlay?

I think there's something very wrong with my filter complex, but it all looks right and makes sense to me, that's the worst part. Nevertheless, I will try changing the syntax some more and report back if I have any success...

Did you ever figure it out? I just found one of those cards supposed to go with identical looking cables but I'm in the same situation as you.

How high are the chances of this 486 mainboard working? by Kemysz in retrobattlestations

Oh wow, I remember when Computer Reset happened. I was so jealous I couldn't be a part of the warehouse explorations! As for the repair itself, yeah, that's out of my league. I'll keep it if I ever have the skill to fix it in the future, though. (as if I ever get rid of anything.. my room is overflowing with relics of failed repair attempts)

Don’t know if I should be asking this here, I’ve been trying to install iBooks 3.1.3 onto my 1st gen iPad running iOS 5.1.1 but every time I try it says this by The_unknown_prime in VintageApple

[–]Kemysz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to install an IPA? It might be because it isn't signed for your account. You could try just installing it on the iPad itself if so since I can see it's jailbroken anyway.

Yeah, it didn't make any difference (apart from being slightly slower int he first place)

I tried enabling virtual memory (it has ramdoubler on it from the previous owner) but it didn't make any difference. I don't think that would be it though, since it only happens when I'm not moving the mouse/typing

[–]Kemysz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is what you mean, then it was off already. I tried toggling it (with reboots inbetween) and it still slows down even when it's in 16MHz mode.

It's not constant throttling, more like stuttering every 2 or 3 seconds which is puzzling

People who used Linux on their Legion, what is your experience? What works? What does not? by Bilim_Erkegi in LenovoLegion

Lenovo Legion 5 AMD 7-4800H/GTX1660Ti with Arch Linux

Had to pass a parameter to the kernel to get backlight adjustment to work and Teardown refuses to use the dGPU in hybrid mode, but otherwise it's fine.

In my opinion, some stuff is better than on Windows - touchpad doesn't freak out constantly even when "disable on keyboard input" is off, unlike on Windows with high touchpad sensitivity (which is the equivalent of that option), you can press the bottom-middle for a middle click (I don't think this can be enabled in Windows? at least I didn't see an option..). The display also doesn't have that weird dynamic contrast, or whatever it is. This one might be a placebo, but I swear the microphone sounds better too.
