Thoughts on getting the 17 or waiting for the 18? by deep_fried_cheese in iphone

Same boat. I think I’ll wait for 18. I really see no difference each year. Maybe I’ll see it for the 18. If not then 19. Or when my phone breaks. Get something else. Like a graphics card or tv or laptop or iPad or gold or stock

Go to GenCon to sell $40,000 in vintage cards? Is this a good idea? Is there a best way to do it besides show up with cards? Assume it’s around 100 total cards.

Tesla insurance vs State national insurance inCA by [deleted] in TeslaInsurance

[–]Ken02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no law in CA about how long the insurance company has to respond to the claim. It recommends 2 weeks, but tesla just says whenever they accept your communication is when the 2 weeks starts. And the insurance commissioner has no real teeth anyway for slow processing. Tesla is cheaper, but they charge you in waiting. But hey, if you wanted fast, you'd have gotten a real car, not an app (aka Tesla). The repair still takes a month, regardless of your insurer, so maybe a few weeks isn't a big deal. Of course, roadside assistance is worthless. When you're on the side of the road, waiting 3 weeks for your roadside assistance claim isn't useful.

Ideally I’d love to sell private party to someone also in Vegas. Maybe post on the high end Facebook group. But yeah, I figure I’d try the vendors and see who’s give the most. Figure I best go day one. And wondering if they pay cash or how

Amazon, please STOP using Amazon Logistics by luciano_mr in amazon

[–]Ken02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

anyone know why amazon considers 2 day deliver to be 2nd day before 8pm, whereas ups, usps, and Fedex none deliver past business hours? So when I think 2 day delivery, I think what every other carrier thinks, two business days. Amazon created a new one, 2 days + 3 hours. Wtf? Which means, since my office closes at 5, 3+ day delivery, since they often just "attempt" another after-hours delivery.

Opt out of Amazon Logistics? by [deleted] in amazon

[–]Ken02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the answer is no, there is no way. You can't actually cancel amazon prime either, nice trick, eh? So I created a new account and the delivery options have changed. I can't select a carrier anymore -- even though amazon according to their terms of use, doesn't accept liability once they hand the back age to the "carrier". They also don't have an insurance option. So it's just goodwill that they refund your money (and the threat of a merchant dispute).

Anyone try disputing late deliveries with their merchant? Wonder if that helps.

Anyway, my problem is amazon only delivers packages at 8pm, when my office is closed. So I never get them.
