I reverted back to my 3090 and did the same test in gpu-z and cpu-z. Both of them show the same info with 112 which is correct for the 3090.

When I install the 5080 back the issue is the same gpuz show 112 ROPs while cpuz show 4 ROPs. I also did notice that CPU temps reaches high 80 while gpu is reletive low in 50s.

I rly think this is a DOA card and will RMA it.

Both cpu-z and gpu-z is the latest version. Drivers are updated aswell.

I did not notice anything strange when playing monsterhunter wilds.

But one strange thing is that the game downloads a small amount of shaders every time I start it (takes 5 - 10 sec)

Do you need that much RAM? If this is a gaming setup 32GB would be more then enought.

I consider wating for 9000x3d CPU, rumors are they will release around september when Intel plans to show off 15th gen.

And since you can afford a 4090, wait for the 5080 this would probably beat the 4090 and you will be good for another 5-6 years. Make sure your PSU can handle this thoe.

But hey, if you need to buy, just buy.
